summary: steve and the avengers invade a hydra base after some concerning readings to find out that hydra created more than one weapon
~~~~ Steve had been worried about hydra ever since he had found out what they did to bucky. I mean, why would they just make one weapon? They knew that the avengers would find them eventually. They were being very careless with bucky and that caused them to lose their only live weapon.
Or so they wanted the avengers to think
~~~~ You were 5. You don't even remember how they got into your house. You were just playing with your toys. Then, a man and picked you up. You remember crying for your mom but she never came. When you were older, you finally understood why.
You had been with hydra for 12 years. Every single week, they would inject you with some new experiment. You hoped that one day, you would finally be able to feel peace, whether you died or they somehow let you go.
The 'experiments' they injected you with gave you numerous different powers. You could shapeshift, do magic and other powers you still haven't figured out yet. Hydra made sure to let you know that they gave you these powers and that they could take them away.
What they didn't know was that the avengers had gotten radiation reading from an abandoned warehouse, where they were set up. You using your powers in your cell caused the readings. "Holy shit, i haven't seen readings like this since we found metal arm man other there." Tony said, looking at the computer screen and lowering his glasses. "What does that mean? Do you think they have another weapon in the works?" Natasha said while walking up to the computer. "They might. We'll check to be sure." He walked away, signaling them to suit up.
~~~~ You were still in your cell, twiddling with the magic at your fingertips, the only thing that brought you joy now, when you heard a loud bang. You sat up and waited a few moments and heard hydra agents shouting and firing.
You sat up and crawled into the corner of your cell, waiting. After a few moments, it went silent. Then you heard a light beeping and footsteps-lots of them.
"The reading is coming from this area. You care to rip it off?" Then, the door went flying off. "It's too dark to see anything tony." You heard a female voice. Then, a flashlight came on. You covered your face as the light scanned every area of the room. They came across your corner and stayed there. "Is that a kid?" The girl asked. You saw a blonde man walk over and kneel down to your level. You tried to move away. "It's ok. we're the good guys. My name is steve. These are my friends. We're hear to save you." You stared at him for a while, trying to get a reading on his stance. "What's your name?" He asked. It took you a while to figure out how to respond. It was a simple question. "Y/n" you said lowly, but he still managed to hear you. "Well, y/n, it's an honor to meet you." He held his hand out for you to shake it. You contemplated for a while but figured anyplace is better than here. You gave him a small smile and shook his hand. You had sent a small shock wave of magic through his hand. He jerked it away quick and shook it. "Great, the last thing we need is another magic person." You looked at steve, worried you had hurt him. He smiled and held both of his hands up. "I'm fine. It's ok." You smiled. He held out his hand and you took it. He led you out of building you had been in for 12 years. You could finally feel the air and the sun. You watched as they all boarded the ship. You hesitated to put your foot on board. You looked back the base. You looked back at steve and smiled, stepping onto the ship and getting ready to start your new life
