The Audience of One

One day a dear friend came to me while I was talking with other friends. He tapped me on the shoulder and announce to them, "This is a person who lives for an audience of one." Then he left.

I did not understand what he meant, so I contemplated on his words. I am not a good person. I may be one of the most arrogant people you would have met in the past. I was hot-tempered and rude; my people in HP will attest to that. Today, I try hard to be nice and kind to people not because I like to but because I am hoping to please the "one" who has been very kind and gracious to me. Who is God!

I have made many enemies and hurt many people in the past because I could not help myself. But since I made it my ambition to please God daily I believe I have become a better husband, father, and friend.

Maybe we should all consider this - to live our lives for the audience of ONE so that even if the world goes against us we may still respond properly. It has changed my life and I believe it will make yours better.
