"Loren?" I say, shocked.

"I wasn't talking to you." She sneers.

Then, she turns to Carlos and says,

"Hey, baby."

Carlos rolls his eyes at her.

"I got to go." He says, and walks away.

Before I can walk away too, Loren starts dragging me away.

"You!" She snarls.

"What?" I ask, confused.

"What have you done to him?" She hisses.

"Nothing! Get your hands off me." I say, squirming out of her tight grip.

"Did you kiss him?" She asks, angrily.

"No! Why would I? We were only talking. We got bored and left the party by taking a walk. Big deal." I say.

"Don't lie to me!" She threatens.

"That's the truth! Believe me if you want to!"

"You stay away from him, got it? He doesn't even like you!" She hisses.

I roll my eyes.

"I'll do what I want." I say, standing up for myself.

"You will. And if you know what's good for you, you'll stay away from him." She says, smirking.

"What makes you think you have a chance with him?" I ask.

"I'm prettier than you. And better." She says.

I snort.

"Loren, I hate to break it to you but beauty comes form within. Carlos doesn't care about what's on the outside. You only like him because of his looks." I say, trying to put some sense into her.

She sighs.

"You're so difficult Kiara." She says, sashaying away.

Now what?

I walk back to Zack's house.

I saw Zack making out in the corner with- Zara?

I thought she was into Carlos?

Whatever.

I couldn't care less.

I scan the room, looking for something to do.

Liv is nowhere to be seen and neither is Carlos.

I sigh.

I have no one.

That much is clear.

Suddenly, I spot Carlos.

He's flirting with some girl.

I feel a pang in my chest.

What the Hell?

He was being so nice to me a while ago and then he moves on to another girl.

Wait, why do I even care?

That's all people do.

Hurt me.

I shake my head.

No, that was nothing.

I sit in a corner and plug my earphones into my phone and play some music.

I immerse myself in my music, drowning everything else out.

I play 'Crying in the club' by Camilla Cabello.
