Chapter 9:

Heeseung's POV
I made my way into the crowd as they were piling up along the way. I went straight to our classroom and played with the pencil on my desk. I check my time and usually she goes in when the clock strikes a quarter to 7

That's odd

Jay entered the room, he was searching for her but he can't find her everywhere. He noticed me sitting here at the back "have you seen Avy?" He asked

"Why would I care?.. I haven't seen her" I replied as he rushed out of the room bumping the guys who was about to enter

"Hyung~ What's up with him?" Niki pointed back

"I don't know... he was freaking out when he entered the room a while ago" I just replied as I look at them clueless

"Maybe it's about her again" Sunoo crossed his arms as they all sat on the vacant seats beside mine in the room

Where could she be? Did she perhaps---argh! Maybe not

I went to the window as I look down for a familiar face to enter the main gate. I check the time and the gate over and over but still there's no sign of her

"What's up with you too?" Jungwon looked at me but I just didn't mind him

"I will just go to my locker... I forgot something" I told them as I picked my coat and rushed out of the room. I wandered around the whole school but still couldn't find her. I soon bumped on someone. I look at her back and it seems very familiar

"Yah! You! Stop right there!" I shouted as I grab her hand. The students were surprised about what I did because I was clearly dragging her with force

I am right it's her stepsister

I lead her at the back of the school where no one actually goes there because they believe that a female ghost was present there.

"Where's your sister?" I asked her and I can't help myself but to frown at her. My voice was clearly getting darker because of my anger

"I have no sister" she raised her eyebrow and teased me while she was lifting her hand looking at her nail "be concise of the words you use" she grinned at me

I pushed her by the wall, slamming her back. "I don't want to get mad but if you insist I can do something much greater than this" I punch the wall near her face

Now she was trembling, I can see that she's scared because her face become pale and clueless of what more can I do to her "sh--she ac-act--actually ran away yesterday" she replied as she swallowed her remaining words

"She ran away huh?.. what else?" My eyes were actually burning with fire, my blood is boiling everytime I see her

"No--nothing more" she is catching her breath. I am not contented about what she said. She's not telling the truth

"Yah! Heeseung stop picking on girls" Jake interrupted us in the middle of the talk. She ran away as soon as he appeared

"What are you doing? I lost my toy" I replied as he was laughing at me

"Seriously... what made you so mad early in the morning?" He holds my shoulder "is there someone that is making you do all this stuff?.... I thought you quit?"

"I really did quit... don't remind me of what happened four years ago. I don't want to reminisce the past today" I cleaned my coat as he entangled his hand on my neck

"Okay.. keep calm and Let's go now" he said as we went back to my room. I saw a person who is wearing a black jacket, a black cap and a mask in the middle of the room. Students were gossiping at that person

That must be her? Is that her?

"He or she is even more odd today.. why would he or she wear thick clothes in a hot day" Sunoo pointed at her

Jay suddenly came in and he was catching his breath. He recognised the person seated in the middle and he quickly approach her

"Yah! Remove that now!" He shouted and was gaining a lot of attention to the students

She holds her cap down as she was keeping it away from the students "yah! Did you not hear what I said?! Remove that now!" He reached the peak of his anger

"I'm getting goosebumps" Jungwoon said as he rub his hands

"I never saw him turned to someone whom we don't know" Sunghoon said as he closed his eyes not believing that Jay was that mad infront of us

It made me stood up, grabbing his hand as he reach to her hood "What's wrong with you.. calm down and stop all of these" I told him but he smack my hand away

"Since when did you care about someone's business" he replied as he raised his head and voice to me. I am quite offended of what he said. It made me clutch my fists

"Stop it~ stop it" Sunoo meddled in between us

"What's happening here??.. go back to your class" our teacher entered the room as he was looking at all of us were in a chaotic war now

"Both of you.. I will give you two detention. Let's meet each other as the class ends" he said while he was pointing at his stick to us "go back to your seats"

He noticed this mysterious person "you there... who are you?? Please remove your hat and your mask to be recognised by the class" he said

"She's Ms. Kim sir... it is not necessary to make her remove her hat and mask" Jay announced

"Ms. Kim?? Please pay some respect to your teacher" he said as he crossed his hands. She slowly remove her hood and the her cap. I saw a little piece of a square cloth on her right hand. Now her mask, her face was showing up, the students were quite shocked of her face

We saw bruises and blue marks on her face, there's a quite a wound with blue marks beside her mouth. The teacher was also shock about what he saw but still remained quiet

"You can atleast put your mask on" he said as he continued teaching. Students can't stop spreading gossips about her

She was beaten up... what an abusive family member. Why didn't she file a report? As soon as she have her test results it could be a great evidence towards her stepfamily

I concentrated my eyes on her for the rest of the day, she didn't remove her jacket.

Even though she was wearing stockings on her legs, you can clearly see some band aids and a pack of rectangular cloth on her legs

They've gotten so far. I hope they didn't kick her out in her own house
