Fluff/Angst

You and Haru have been dating for a little over a month now. The relationship you shared was decent. There were no fights, no stress, not anything. That was the problem. There was practically nothing. Haru and you did have feelings for each other, otherwise, you wouldn't be together. But, it was almost like you guys acted like acquaintances. He never made an effort to try to hug you, kiss you, or even hold your hand when you were alone. To be honest, he seemed uncomfortable when he was around you and it almost broke your heart.

Almost.

Because of the lack of affection and love in your relationship, you've grown closer to the people who hung around Haru. Makoto, Nagisa, and even Rei seemed to care more about you than Haru did. All Haru ever thought about was being in the water. You loved that he was so passionate about swimming, but you couldn't help but feel left out. Why be in a relationship when it feels one-sided?

You were waiting outside of the sports shop, waiting for Haru and the team to pick out new swimsuits when you saw a familiar maroon-haired male smiling and waving with his shark teeth. Your face lit up when he started walking towards you.

The one that you talked to the most about your problems was Rin. At first, you would only talk about how Haru would never talk to you or make an effort that he actually wanted to be with you. Then, as time gradually went on, you and Rin grew closer.

Almost every night, he would be the one to call you and ask you about how your day was and how you were doing. When you felt stressed, Rin would be the one to comfort you. The same thing with you, whenever you noticed he was acting weird or out of it, you would be there for him to talk or just to listen.

Not once since you and Haru started dating that he texted you or called you out of his own will. At first, it hurt a lot knowing that he probably wasn't even thinking about you. You started to grow used to it though as you and Rin grew closer.

No matter how many times you told yourself or how many times you tried, you couldn't help but catch feelings for the shark face. You felt bad, you knew it was wrong to like someone else when you were already in a relationship. You didn't know what to do or how to think. You cared about Haru, but you seemed to fall in love with Rin.

"Hey, y/n! Whatcha doing here alone?" He asked as he stopped in front of you.

"Hey, Rin. I'm waiting out here for Haru and the team to pick out new swimsuits. I decided to wait out here since I don't really plan on buying anything." You chuckled nervously.

"Ah, I see. Well, you look good! How's you and Haru?" Rin asked.

He didn't really care about how you and Haru were doing. He wanted to be with you. He hated the fact that Haru treated you like you weren't there. Rin knew you deserved better and he was more than willing to give you everything he had. Haru was his friend though, he couldn't do much about it except sit back and watch.

"Well-"

"Hey, Rin. What are you doing here?" Haru asked in his usual monotonous voice.

"Hey, Haru. I saw y/n standing here alone, so I decided to keep her company." Rin said, trying to hint to Haru that he should be giving more attention to you.

Haru just blinked at you and Rin and nodded before walking back to the team. You sighed, knowing Haru was way too dense to pick up Rin's obvious hints.

"Well, that answers my question," Rin said sarcastically.

You chuckled at his humor, making him smile. Haru saw you and Rin laughing with each other as the rest of the team continued to try on bathing suits. Before you and Rin notice his stares, he turned his attention back to the bathing suit racks.
