Chapter 13: The Help

Katherine's POV

I woke up and I looked around looking for Jax and I didn't see him anywhere.

"Jax! Baby! I need some help! " I yelled for him

"coming babe! Just give me a second!" jax said from another room

5 MINUTES LATER

"sorry babe i was in a meeting in my office down the hall with my beta and delta" jax said while picking me up

"What was the meeting about or am I not allowed to know?"

"It's about more security for you when I'm not around you." jax said looking down at me

Jax sets me down near the toilet and walks over to the counter.

"jax i don't need security. I'll be fine. I'm strong enough to handle myself. I just need to go back to training and not be kinda lazy like I have been." I said while finishing up on the toilet.

"babe what happened the other day i don't want it to happen again." jax said while picking me back up.

"it won't happen again i'm just going to go back to training with jess everyday."

"Ok fine. as long as you promise to be safe and to not leave the territory" jax said

"We need to talk about the ceremony. Do you want to reschedule or forget about it?" Jax said while leaning on the counter

"We can reschedule for about a month. That way I have time to heal and get strong and give us time to get ready" I said while slowly walking to him.

"Ok i'll set up the date" Jax says while pulling me close and kissing my forehead.

The next day

Jax has been so protective of me since that incident. I love him but sometimes I want him to cool it. I mean I'll be fine. I just need to train more and get my strength back and stop being lazy.

(punch knocked on ground) " damn girl where's your head at" someone said

"I'm here it's just I spaced out sorry Jess" I said rubbing my neck and apologizing

"It's alright girl, just get your head in the game if you want to get stronger. I've been being careful to not open your wound but come one" Jess said standing over me holding out her hand

"sorry i'm just going through a lot of shit with jax" i say as i grab her hand

"What stuff going on with Alpha Jax" jess says

"Ever since the incident the yesterday day he's been so overprotective and i love him and all but he's treating me like im a 5 year old who cant protect herself."

"Have you tried talking to him about it? maybe he'll lighten up if you talk to him about it."

"Your right jess i'll go talk to him" I say will hugging jess

Back at the pack house

"JAX! baby are you here!" I yell will I walk in the door

(no answer) That's weird, Jax usually answers back when I call for him. Maybe he's out on a run. I dont know im just gonna change. As I'm walking up to my room I notice nobody is in the pack house. which usually people are in the pack house then all of a suddenly all I see is black.
