Chapter 9: Protective

Katherine's POV

"So I was thinking we could introduce me to the Pack next week. On our 2 month anniversary of finding each other. What do you think?" I asked Jax while he was driving

"Really! You're ready to meet the pack? " Jax asked excitedly

"Well I was thinking about it and yes I am. I mean I've been living in the pack house and have managed somehow to avoid everyone. I'm ready to meet them. That means we have to sit down with your beta and Delta. So we can go over plans then 2 days before the ceremony me and my friends are going to go dress shopping. '' I said while playing with my hands in my lap

Jax grabs my hand and kisses it.

"I'm so glad you're ready to meet the pack. They will love you." Jax said happily

"Will they really? What if they hate me? " I said looking down

"You're their Luna, they will love you. " Jax said, reassuring me.

We finally arrive at the pack house and Jax jumps out of the car and runs to me and opens the door for me.

"Thank you. Oh right uh you're going to have to talk to my dad. " I said nervously

"Ok I'd be happy to talk to him and tell him what's going down." Jax said smiling

"Ok I'll have his beta take you to his office while I go and get my friends and have their stuff loaded in the car. " I said happily

"Uh babe you don't have to, they are walking out of the house with their stuff now. " Jax said

"Is this Jaxon?" Jess said walking right up to him

"Yes, is this Jaxon?" Megan said while walking right beside Jess

"Hi I'm Jessica but you can call me Jess if you want. I'm Kat's best friend. This here beside me is Megan, her other best friend. " Jess said while shaking Jax's hand.

"Hi, now I have to go. I'm sorry I have to cut this short but I have to talk to Kat's dad. Excuse me. " Jax said while walking away

"OH MY GOD!!! Kat he is sexy" Megan said

"Hey back off he's my mate not yours" I said all possessive

"He is kinda cute I'm happy for you Kat" Jess said

"Thanks Jess I'm so happy with him even if he annoys me sometimes. Ok now let's get y'all stuff in the trunk. Then we can get in the car and blast some music. " I said

"Deal here meg can you put my suitcase in the trunk while I have a talk with Kat for a quick sec?" Jess asked while handing megan her suitcase

"Uh sure Jess" Megan said while walking their stuff to the trunk.

We walk over to the side of the pack house out of ear shot of Megan.

"Ok now Kat be careful. I overheard Megan say something to your dads beta who she confides in that she is planning on taking Jax from you to get payback or something like that. All we have to do is act like we don't know and see if she actually follows through on it.'' Jess said quietly and looked around to make sure nobody was watching or listening.

She kept on going but I could barely hear her because I was so mad and hurt that my own friend who I trusted would say something like that and that my dad's beta got told it and didn't say anything to me.

"Katherine are you hearing me don't do anything about it let's just see if it happens ok. Just warn Jax that it might happen. " Jess said while shaking me

"Ok I got it you can stop now Jess. We've got to get back to the car. I hear Jax and Megan talking. " I said while walking back to the car

As we walk back to the car I hear Megan flirting with Jax. I started getting mad so I ran up to him and hugged him and looked megan straight in the face and said

"Back off megan he's mine. I told you before he was mine." i said while pulling out of the hug with Jax

"No need to be rude Kat we were just talking" Megan said while smiling and putting a hand on his shoulder.

"Oh there's a reason to be rude. You are over here flirting with my mate MY mate not your MINE. I know what you've been planning and I can't believe you would do that to me. " I said, angry and pushing clueless Jax behind me.

"Oh wow I said something out of anger oh well who cares. " Megan said rudely

"Ok I'm done with you. " I said and then I transformed into my wolf.

Megan transformed into her's shes a dark brown wolf with a light brown spot on her sides and she took off running and I ran after her. She was way ahead of me but I finally caught up to her and bit around her neck and I didn't let go. I wouldn't let go until she submitted to me. Jax and Jess were right behind me in their wolf form. Jax was looking at me in awe because he knew I was a rare wolf because you don't see many wolves pure white.

Jax transformed into his human form and walked up to me and Megan while Megan was trying to put up a fight with me but she was failing. I've always been much stronger than Megan and Jess.

"Submit Megan and Katherine will let go. SUBMIT! " Jax yelled

Megan looked at him and I knew she could feel the power behind his words. She finally submitted and I let her go. I stepped back and transformed back into my human form.

"You know Megan all this would have been resolved if 1 you would have talked to me and 2 you wouldn't have tried anything with MY mate. " I said while walking beside Jax and putting my arm around his back.

"Damn babe I forgot your wolf was pure white she's so beautiful." Jax said in awe while kissing my cheek and pulling me close.

"Thanks babe and 'she' has a name and its Sky. And I'm sorry Jess you had to see that. Don't worry Jess that won't happen to you unless you do what she did. " I said while looking at Jess in her wolf form. Her wolf is a light brown with black ears.

Jess then transformed back into her human form and walked over to me and Jax.

"Was that really necessary.? And I'll do it anyway." Jess said, bowing her head to me and Jax. "I pledge my loyalty to you Alpha Jaxon and Luna Katherine. I swear I will do anything for you guys. " Jess said

"Oh Jess it's ok you don't have to do that. Now let's get back to the car." I said while Jax kisses me.

We all walk back to the car together in silence. Once we get back to the car I watch Jess go to the trunk and pull Megan's stuff out of the trunk and throw it across the yard.

"We don't need those anymore" Jess says while smiling.

I smile and chuckle a little and get in the car. That's when Jess shuts the trunk and everyone else gets in the car and we take off.
