She was walking slowly through the library, quickly but carefully scanning different books as she passed them. She wasn't looking for anything in particular, except something that might catch her eye.
Nothing ever did.
She ignored the looks she got from other customers. They were never really rude or disgusted looks, although she definitely did get some of those every now and then. They were mostly looks of curiosity, but they still made her feel incredibly uncomfortable and insecure, making her pull the hood of her jumper over more to cover her face.
She turned around to go into a different genre section of the store, but bumped into something hard. She gained her balance quickly, but her cheeks flared as her anxiety spiked. Her pale fingertips that stood out against the rest of her hands shook violently.
