Fatespeaker has powers?

Hey sorry I didn't post anything yesterday. I just could not get any work done, we recently got a puppy and she ended up sleeping in my room. And she would not go to sleep she kept biting my hand and OH MY MOONS IT HAD BEEN GOING ON FOR HALF AN HOUR NONSTOP THIS IS WHY YOU HAVE CHEW TOYS MY HAND IS NOT A CHEW TOY. Sorry, so yeah that was fun lets get on with the theory and stuff.

Before I even start, did anyone else think Deathbringer was a mindreader?

Up until book like 5, I was %100 sure that he could read minds. Like there was no doubt in my mind. For example, how did he know about Glory's plan to use herself as bait? And how mindreading would become extremely helpful as an become a good assassin. But I quickly found out that he did not.

One, he had no teardrop scales by his eyes (the sign that the Nightwing is a mindreader). Two, most of the time he didn't seem to be able to read thier minds (Example, if Deathbringer was reading Blister's mind In book five he would know that there was a dragonbite viper in the box from readin Blister's mind.) And three, When I read Winglets Assassins it quickly became clear that no, he was not a mindreader.

Today we will not talk about Deathbringer, we're talking about if Fatespeaker has powers, both mindreading and the power to tell the future. Its actually sad how much hate Fatespeaker gets. Unlike most people, I actually like Fatespeaker yes she can be a bit annoying at time but I think she's sweet and that I think she's the right dragon for Starflight.

Also, fun fact that nobody cares about: book six was sopposed to be in Fatespeaker's point of view but Tui changed it to Moon's. Damn it Moon. Anyhow on with Fatespeaker having powers.

First off what defines a Nightwing with having mindreading powers are the teardrop scales by thier eyes. Does Fatespeaker have those?

Yes, yes she does. She has the silver scales outside the corner of each eye, so a mindreader? Check. Now how about future telling powers? Well those silve scales that are a band circling one ankle are the signs of a Nightwing that can see the future. Oh you want proof you say? Well lets see what the wiki fandom says;

BOOM MAY ACTUALLY HAVE WEAK POWERS. Oh you also want proof of this? Well here's the thing, I don't actually have proof... But I have a theory, a very sound theory if I do say so myself.

I actually agree that Fatespeaker has weak powers. I think maybe what happened is that her egg cracked or something like that, giving her faint powers. I had the theory that she was supposed to be hatched under like two moons or something like that but she wasn't because she was hatched under the volcano where there's ash covering the sky. And the moons.

But I quickly dismissed that second theory. Starflight was born under three full moons. Well he was supposed to, the moons were out but he didn't hatch under them, and because of that he has no powers whatsoever. So that theory didn't work, so I went with the one that her egg was cracked or her egg was only touched by a silver of moonlight.

Moving away from how she might have gotten powers, lets look at some evidence of her using her powers.

When she was claiming to have visions, I think she was just reading the other dragonets' minds. By the other dragonets I mean, Flame, Squid, Viper, and Orche. I think what may have happened is that lets say Squid was thinking about eating a walrus. On accident, Fatespeaker might have seen the image of a  walrus and seen it in his mind, interpreting it as a vision.

Or maybe it was a vision and not mindreading. Maybe she just saw a walrus but didn't know any additional information to that. Maybe she didn't know what day or genral time, it could be years or something like that. Maybe she saw it in another possible future, maybe one where one of the talons of peace borught them a walrus or something like that.

Look, we don't know alot about Nightwing powers we did get Darkstalker legends which gave us the point of view of both Clearsight and Darkstalker. But Darkstalker didn't look much into the future, or really at all. While Clearsight on the other talon, did use her power alot and we did see alot of that. However, because her power was diffrent and not like any other Nightwing, I cannot use it for this theory.

In Darkstalker legends, Allknowing (A seer who hated Clearsight) said that dreams and visions could be confused. If having those teardrop scales by her eyes means she can read minds faintly then maybe she she is also a seer, but faintly. Maybe she had vauge visions but usually only had them in dreams, like she would wake up and maybe forget that vision or something like that.
