This chapter has to explode. When we catapult your character into Act two, it has to be strong, definite and powerful.
Okay, your next 1000 words is going to change the story completely on it's head. This is what the reader came for, because after this is the "promise of the premise".
The first plot point is when your character finally makes a choice. She's tried everything to avoid what the inciting incident caused and she's failed. She now is left with no choice but to answer the call to adventure. She accepts that her world is changing.
Don't be shy or cautious with it. Make it burn!
