The entire room went silent.
Hyeri's eyes widened. This was all new to her, she was just as shocked as the executives were. She parted her lips, but it was hard to find the right words to say. She had to host this event by herself? "Yes, Sir," she politely replied to her father, then she turned to face the executives. She rose from her seat and bowed in front of them. "I promise I will do my best."
"I trust you will, indeed. And I am also counting on the rest of the executive board to help you out with this. You're the next Managing Director, I want you to start training intensely for this position."
She didn't dare to touch her phone again until they wrapped up the meeting. Even after she left the house room and walked to her office, her hands were still shaking. Could she really do this?
Hyeri took a deep breath and used her fingerprint to unlock her phone, then replied to Taehyung's message.
