Chapter Twenty Nine

When I open my eyes I immediately look at Lance, he's smiling while doing the second voice and I can't help but to smile too.

This could be good, it's already better than that
And nothing's worse than knowing you're holding back
I could be all that you needed if you let me try...

Our voices really blends well.

You said it again my heart's in motion
Every word feels like a shooting star
I'm at the edge of my emotions
Watching the shadows burning in the dark..

And I'm in love
And I'm terrified
For the first time and the last time in my only..

I only said it 'cause I mean it, oh..

I consciously look at him on this part. He never let me off his sight. Parang walang ibang tao kung makatingin siya sa akin.

I only mean 'cause it's true..

Totoo talaga yung sinabi ko kanina. It's not just because I'm caught in the moment.

So don't you doubt what I've been dreamin'...

I do hope he doesn't think that it's just a joke.

'Cause it fills me up and holds me close whenever I'm without you...

I move a little bit closer to him and smile. I heard the crowd cheers and squeals.

But I'm terrified of the consequences, will this last?

For the first time and the last time in my only life...

I felt his hand again on mine. He gave me his sweetest smile. Pakiramdam ko hindi lang ako ang kinilig dahil sa mga tilian ng mga nanonood sa amin.

In my only life...

Bahala na.. I love him and I'll take the risks..

"I love you too, Dana.."  Lance whispers.

"And Iiiii, Im terrified..."  Pagkanta ni Camilla na wala sa tono.

If looks can kill she's already dead by now. It's been three days that happened. We both became a hot topic of gossips in the campus. Everyone assumed that we're a thing. Muntik na nga akong tanggalin sa fans club dahil sa issue.

Mabuti ang alam nila ay si Ethan pa rin ang one and only ko kahit hindi naman.

"So, did you accept the offer?"

Tanong niya tungkol sa pag alok sa akin ng manager nina Lance ng contract para maging female vocal lead nila.

"No, I believe it's not my forte. Ayokong agawan si Mickey."

That was I immediately thought when their manager gave her proposal to me and one more important thing.

"Lame.. It's your chance now. Magpaparaya ka na naman ba?"
Steph's butt in.

"Steph is right. What was the name of the girl? Aubrey? Aubrey Heart? Where is she now, Danie? She turned into someone that everyone hates and then flew to the states and hide there. Ngayon, because of Mickey, hindi mo pa rin tatanggapin ang offer. She already have hers but she turned it down because of school. How 'bout you? Your reason is just because of someone again. Hindi na naging para sa sarili mo.."

Cams burst out. How did this conversation turned so serious? I hugged her and she's already crying.

If the offer was from years ago and I know that Aubrey was just framing me, I would gladly accept it. But, the table turns now. Hindi ko na gusto ito. I still like singing but I don't want to be a performer.

"Sshhh.. Stop crying na Cams. I know how worried all of you to me. But recently, naisip ko na hindi pala singing ang pangarap ko. It's okay. I turned down the offer because I want to sing freely, I don't want to be a performer. Don't worry I'd still sing on your broadcasts."  I assured them.

Lumapit sa amin si Steph at nakiyakap na rin.

"Hmp! I want to see you again singing on the big stage naman!"  Cams still convincing me.

"Don't force Cams. Sa debut mo na lang pakantahin si Dan. Magpagawa ka ng big stage." Steph's teased her.

"Kainis ka, Steph!"

Our laughter filled my room. I hope this lasts forever..

....

"Oh! I forgot to tell you, may date raw kayo ni Lance mamayang 3 p.m." Paalala ni Cams.

"Cams! Two o'clock na! Bakit ngayon mo lang sinabi?!"

"Tehee! Sorry."
