Chapter Twenty Five

Danarine's Point of view

Lei is his brother.. Older brother.. What a coincindence? Pero sobra naman ata? Kung kuya niya si Lei ibig sabihin..

"You're my neighbor too? Why didn't you tell me?"

"Technically not, hindi kasi nakatira sa amin si Lance.."  Sagot ni kuya Lei.

Siya ang nagsabing tawagin ko siya na kuya. Kumakain kami ngayon sa paborito kong fast food place. Nandito kami sa pinakasulok para hindi mahalata si Lance.

"Why?"

"His choice.."

I look at Lance, he just shrugged his shoulders. Now I see the resemblance, ngayong magkatabi sila ni Lance, kaya pala familiar ang itsura ni kuya Lei.

"Are you dating?"  Kuya Lei asked.

Muntik na akong masamid sa iniinom na coke float.

"Kinda." -Me

"Yes." -Lance

Sabay naming sagot ni Lance. Tiningnan niya ako na para bang nagulat sa sagot ko.

"What? Hindi mo pa kaya ako tinatanong."  Pagsusungit ko.

I'm right naman di'ba? He doesn't say anything. Should I be the one who's always asking?

Natawa lang sa amin ang kuya niya. Talk about being opposites. Masyadong palangiti itong kuya niya, siya naman palaging seryoso o kaya naman ay cold.

"I leave you two alone. Mag usap muna kayo. Bye. See you Dan.."

Nagpaalam na nga sa amin si kuya Lei. He's cool naman. Parang si kuya Sev.

"So, let's talk."  He said seriously.

"Fine. Ano nga ba tayo?"

Huminga siya ng malalim tumingin sa mga mata ko. There's no humor in his eyes. Seryosong seryoso talaga siya.

"I thought my actions were enough to show. I like you Dan, no jokes and lies. I hope you feel the same way too."

I feel like my cheeks are already burning. Ang bilis bilis ng tibok puso ko na parang tumakbo ako sa marathon.

"I-I feel the same way too, Lance. No jokes. No lies.."

He smiled and held my hand. Well this is an unsual place to tell our feelings but I'm happy. We're officially dating!

Around eight in the evening when we got home. Nagpaalam na sa akin si Lance, he said that he'll be sleeping to kuya Lei's house. I don't know ba't ganoon ang term niya.
Pagkapasok ko sa loob ng bahay ay nakasalubong na agad sa akin si kuya Sev sa living room.

"You're late young Miss." Kuya said immitating Papa.

"Good evening to you too, kuya.."

I kissed him on the cheek. Nagmadali na akong maglakad pero nahuli niya agad ang kamay ko.

"Hep.. Maupo ka nga dito Dan."

"Kuya, we'll talk. Can I change first?"

He sighed and let go of my hand. I will tell everything to kuya. I don't keep secrets from him.

"You two are officially dating? Hindi mo ba naisip ang consequences Dan? He's famous, he's busy and all of the attention is on him, and bata pa kayo.."  Kuya said.

Nandito kami sa kwarto ko and I'm on my pj's na. I do think of the consequence of dating him. Nag-doubt na rin ako, but, my feelings for him is much more stronger than my worries and fears.
