Chapter 11🌒 The Element Ceremony

Start from the beginning

But I've chosen to stand tall and unbroken and do this ceremony.

People get married all the time that don't want to.

Mainly in the olden days but who cares.

At least I know he likes me and liked me enough to even come back for me.

That's enough to pull through all this strongly.

I may be scared and nervous but I'm strong and courageous.

Zolk is in a really nice Caption suit.

It's all white.

His hat is black with a silver rope around it.

He is quite handsome.

I almost forgot to breathe.

I've never seen him so dressed.

This must be something like the military they have uniforms and dress suits.

His eyes never waver from mine.

Before I know it Zolks walking to meet us.

Zolks' father stops and so do I.

He releases my arm grabbing my hand to place a kiss on it.

Then giving it to Zolk who takes it immediately placing a kiss of his own on my palm.

Making me all flustered.

Then he scoops me up bridal style.

I wasn't told this.

I almost yelped.

How embarrassing would that had been?

He walks us to my spot and places me down and places a soft kiss upon my cheek before going to his spot.

The crowd is so quiet.

You don't hear a peep.

Then some guy steps forward wearing what looks like pope clothing all black though.

He has a very weird shaped hat none explainable.

I feel like Nostradamus trying to explain the future without knowing what things are called.

And still NO I'm not unintelligent!

"Which one of your elements have you chosen Prince of X to share and bestow upon your chosen Princess?"

He speaks loud for all to hear.

Did he say Zolk was giving me an element of his choosing?

"The shield of Balzerk."

He speaks loudly and turns his gaze from me to all-around at his people.

I mean our people.

I guess making a statement.

A shield hua?

How do I use it?

"Will you accept the sacrifice you must make to complete this element bestowing?"

He speaks loudly again even though Zolks like three feet from him.

"Yes, I do."

He says with absoluteness.

What sacrifice?

Ughh!

I don't want to know!

Oh, God, I don't want to even know.

I stood still as a board as his brothers take each of his arms in their grip.

Zolk still doesn't remove his eyes from mine.
