EEVEE'S POV

That night, I slept on the small, but comfortable, tiny bed. It was warm, it was cozy, and for the first time, I felt peace. I didn't know how long it would last, but I embraced it.

Suddenly, I heard glass breaking, and all over again, I felt scared again. I woke up instantly and got to my feet to see a tall man with black clothes and a big red R on his chest. He had a nasty sneer, and then he shot a net towards me. Next thing I knew, I was inside it, and it was attached to a rope, which the man dragged along the floor. I struggled, but no luck, and then I began to cry.

Then, an alarm started going off. More loud noises. I was scared so much. The lights all turned on, and then I saw nurse Joy and Candice enter the corridor. I also noticed that there were more grunts with other sick and injured Pokemon in nets.

'Leave all those Pokemon alone, they're not yours to take!' yelled Joy.

'There's nothing you can do!' yelled the grunt who had me in the net.

Joy looked at me. 'Eevee?' she said.

The grunt picked up a gun from his belt.

'Oh, no you don't!' yelled Candice, pulling out a Pokeball, 'Go, Braixen. Use fire blast with everything you've got!'

CANDICE'S POV:

Braixen's aim never disappoints. The fire blast hit all the grunts, and missed all the netted Pokemon. Unfortunately, one of the grunts was still holding the rope connected to Eevee's net. Fortunately, he lost his grip, while blasting off into the sky along with the other grunts, through a newly created hole in the wall at the end of the corridor. Unfortunately, Eevee was pulled back too and was now on the edge. He lay there, shivering with fear, his front paws over his head, and in  a split second, Eevee leaned the wrong way and began to fall.

I ran and jumped too without another thought. I caught Eevee and then brought out my Snorlax. His large, soft body, acted as a cushion and we landed safely.

'You're safe now, Eevee.' I whispered, to the still trembling, little Eevee.

'E-bui?' it said, quietly, looking at me eye to eye.

EEVEE'S POV

She then brought Braixen down to cut my net after freeing the Pokemon above. I then realized this was the first time she was holding me like that without me being scared. That was the thing. I was no longer scared of her.

I was no longer scared of her

THIRD PERSON POV:

'Eevee,' said Candice, after a few minutes. 'I've decided,-'

'E-bui?' inquired Eevee.

'- I'm going to adopt you!'

Tears of joy flooded Eevee's eyes.

'EE-BUII!!!' he yelled ecstatically.

He pressed the button on the Pokeball, and seconds later, came the satisfying capture sound.

'Come on out, Eevee!' said Candice, as Eevee came out of the Pokeball.

'I promise I'll take good care of you.' continued Candice, stroking Eevee. 'I'll never let you go, count on it!'

'E- bui!' exclaimed Eevee happily as he jumped to his new trainer, who embraced him.

It was the first time ever Eevee felt this feeling. This warm, pleasant feeling. The one called love.
