Eevee's Sad Story

A Not-So Great Start

It was morning now, and the only warmth available for the Eevee egg, was the sunlight.

Fortunately, it was enough for the egg to hatch. Unfortunately, there was a pack of stray Poochyena curious about this glowing egg on the roadside.

There was a bright flash, and when the light was gone, there lay a little baby Eevee, next to the street light pole.

'Mama?' was the first thing he uttered.  Although any other human would just hear it saying - Eevee?, its tone made the meaning clear.

However, it did not see anything, except for a pack of stray Poochyena, glaring at it, saliva drooling from their sharp teeth.

The first few minutes of Eevee's life was nothing short of hell. The newly hatched, weak and innocent little baby Pokemon was soon getting bit and thrown around. Eevee was in immense pain. He lost consciousness mere seconds after he had hatched, but the Poochyena kept biting and scratching for the next few minutes. However, Eevee hit a stroke of luck for once. One of them bit him by the tail and flung him aside. The baby Eevee splashed into a flowing sewer by the road. The water awakened him at once, and it was flowing very fast. He started crying for help, barely staying afloat, but no one could hear him.

Eevee submerged after a lot of struggle anyway, but then he felt something. Something metal, cling to his leg.

Eevee finally got out of the water. 

'What's an Eevee doing here?' a girl said to herself, as she pulled him out with a fishing pole.

Eevee shook himself dry, still scared to death, and then began to run away.

'Hey wait!' yelled the girl. 'Don't run away! Let me help you!' 

But the Eevee kept running scared. He kept running and running until suddenly, he slowed down and eventually came to a stop. He fell down, losing consciousness once again.

'It's hurt.' she said, bending down and stroking it. 'I should get it to the Pokemon center now!'

She picked him up, put him in the front of her bicycle basket, and started pedaling as fast as she could, back into the city from the outskirts.
