Terraria: The Calamity

The Hut in the Snow

  Seth sat down infront of the worm's grave.
  He placed a daybloom in the dirt and stared at the tombstone.
  "I hope you're living a good life..." Seth muttured.
  Seth stood up and saw Violet who was returning from mining.
  She glanced at him and then went into her house.
  "Wonder what she got." Seth thought.
  Seth walked into the busier section of the village.
  The Village was bustling with activity, the NPCs were chatting with one another and trading.
  Seth somehow had a feeling that what they are in is not a game.
  He had asked the Guide earlier about Terraria, the Guide didn't have an answer.
  Seth sat down on a bench and he recalled the events that led up to this.
 
[A few weeks ago]

  Seth waited as his mods were being reloaded.
  "Dude hurry up!" Miles said on the discord.
  "I'm coming wait!" Seth clicked on the Multiplayer option as soon as the mods were reloaded.
  He typed in the details of Miles' server and clicked on the join button.
  The world generated before his eyes and he went towards the nearest tree.
  Seth's character had black hair, a dark red jacket, white shirt, black shoes and dark-grey pants just like in real life.
  Seth cut down the tree and got wood.
  "Hi!" Miles said as his charcter appeared on Seth's screen.
  "Dude what kind of character is that?" Seth asked as he stared at Miles' character.
  Miles' character had yellow hair, green shirt, pink pants and orange shoes.
  "Well random duh." Miles replied.
  "Well whatever, lets just-" Seth stopped talking as a message appeared in chat.
  "What?" Miles asked him.
  "What's this?" Seth read the message.
  "What are you talking about?" Miles asked again.
  "It says Yharim has joined." Seth said.
  "Oh yeah it says it here too." Miles replied.
  "But who is Yharim?" Seth asked.
  "Isn't that the guy who is over mentioned in Calamity lore?" Miles asked.
  "Pfft no way its the real thing." Seth said.
  Suddenly, a figure walked towards them in-game.
  "There he or she is." Seth said.
  "Actually I'm a he." The figure spoke.
  "It can hear us and talk?" Miles said in shock.
  "Of course I can." The figure replied.
  "Okay Mr Freaky man, would you please leave?" Seth asked.
  "You don't get it do you," the figure continued,"Why would I leave my world?"
  "But I created this world!" Miles shouted.
  "I hate invaders like you, always coming into my world to stop my rule." The figure replied.
  "We're not invading, you are, Mr RP man!" Seth shouted.
  "Rude." The figure replied.
  "You're rude!" Miles retorted.
  "Then why don't you come in?" The figure asked them.
  "Excuse me?" Seth replied.
  The figure disappeared from Seth's screen.
  "Phew he left..." Seth breathed a sigh of relief.
  Miles didn't respond.
  "Miles?" Seth asked.
  No response.
  Suddenly, he heard Miles screaming.
  "Miles!" Seth shouted.
  "Help... me!" Miles shouted while struggling.
  Soon, the screams stopped and Seth heard the voice of the figure.
  "You're next." The figure said into the mic.
  Suddenly, hallowed armoured men jumped out of Seth's computer.
  Seth screamed in horror as he reached for a weapon, he picked up a tennis racket and swung it at the nearest man.
  The tennis racket broke and the men turned their attention to him.
  "Oh no..." Seth muttured.
  Seth quickly ran out of his room, almost tripping on his stuff that he left lying on the floor and slammed the door behind him.
  Suddenly, the door went flying and Seth quickly rolled aside, dodging the door.
  "What in the heck?" Seth thought.
  The figure from the game energed from the now non-existent doorway.
  "Hello Mr I like to give Yharim silly names." The figure chuckled.
  "Who are you?" Seth asked.
  "That not important, but if you really want to know..." The figure walked towards Seth.
  The figure threw a punch at Seth, knocking the black-haired boy out.
  "I'm Yharim." Yharim said as he grabbed Seth's legs.
 
[Present]

  "SETH!!!" Miles shouted.
  Seth was brought back to the present.
  "Ugh why do you have to do that?" Seth clutched his head.
  "Well-" Miles tried to explain.
  "Are you two idiots gonna stand there all day?" Violet cut Miles off.
  Seth saw that Violet was wearing a new set of armour.
  "New armour?" Seth asked her.
  "Aerospec armour." Violet replied.
  Violet threw them a book and a sword.
  "What is this?" Miles asked.
  "Thats a mage weapon, Tradewinds." Violet replied.
  "That is a Wind Blade." Violet replied before Seth could ask about his.
  "These are fine weapons and all, but why are you giving us these?" Seth asked.
  "We're going to the Dungeon." Violet said as she pulled out her new bow, Galeforce.
  "Oh you're not putting me in a cell." Seth backed away from her.
  "Of course not, although I would like to." Violet walked towards the exit of the Village.
