My dad, the dentist

Ch 1

MILO POV

Being the son or daughter of a dentist can be really hard. It is hard because they always Nag about your teeth and about eating sugar.

Well my dad... he is a dentist. Well, one of my greatest fears is the dentist and my dad is one.
Me and my sister love him so much and miss my mom, she passed away a few years ago because of cancer.
My dad can be hard on both me and my sister and we are twins. He is hard on us about our oral health.
My sister isn't scared of him. My dad says having a fear of the dentist is a childish fear.
My dad doesn't know of my fear, he says being scared of him is babyish.

It was a normal day me and my sister were playing on our wii. On wii sports playing bowling. I just got a turkey and I scream in excitement.
My dad was sitting on the couch on his laptop wearing his glasses and typing away he shouted hooray when I got a turkey and gave me a hot five.

Shiloh was getting mad because she couldn't get a strike.

"You know dad.. we should go bowling in real life" I mention

"That would be fun, but I am so busy with work" dad said with sadness in his voice

"Why are you sad?" Shiloh asks

"Because a few of my patients haven't had checkups in a long while and I worry about them" dad said

I shrug and continue bowling. I ended up winning the game. Shiloh pouts as she lost the game.
Dad was sniggering. "Shiloh I know you can do better"

"I'll beat him next game" Shiloh laughs

"I'd doubt it" I snigger and click next game.

I start wiggling my loose tooth I had, being 7 can suck, you lose baby teeth.

"You have a loose tooth?" Dad asks

"Yea" i say

We begin playing another round of wii sports bowling and I was winning again.

"By the way you two, you start 2nd grade in a month, that means you need a dental checkup that's a requirement to start second grade" he says

I look at him.

"Really?" I say still wiggling my tooth

"Really" dad said unfazed

Shiloh shrugs the dentist doesn't bother her at all.
But me I have a fear and dad thinks it's babyish and doesn't mind to strap me down or anything like that, dad doesn't know my fear though.

That's why I hate him as my dentist and dad

"When is it?" Shiloh asks

"Tomorrow" dad says

"I don't wanna go" I whine

"Your going Milo if you like it or not. Your going" dad said sternly

"I take perfect care of my teeth, I don't need to go" I also mention

"I just want to make sure everything is okay" he adds

I sigh and till my eyes and look back at the tv and see Shiloh is winning now

"No!" I yell at her and take back my winning streak.

Dad was laughing his head off at this point. I was so nervous for tomorrow. Dad thinks I'm not scared of him but I am.

I have a huge fear of him...

I don't wanna go tomorrow...
