You put your hand over your mouth in shock. You were pregnant. You and Mouse hadn't talked about having kids and he probably didn't want them.

You scrambled to get your phone to text Maxi, your best friend.

Hey Maxi, kinda got a problem

I'm not working today, want to come over so we can talk?

Omigosh yes please, I don't know what to do. I'll be there in 10

You put the pregnancy test you had been clutching in the cabinet, grabbed your keys and headed outside, Mouse was working at the tower today so he wouldn't be home until much later. You sighed and started your car, wondering how all this had happened, sure you had been more sexually active lately but it doesn't work like this.

Pulling up in front of Maxi's house, you took another deep breath before getting out the car and knocking on the door.

"Hey Y/N! Come in" Maxi said opening the door, you just smiled in response, thinking about how to introduce your problem.

He led you to the living room where you both sat down,

"So, what's the problem?" He asked thoughtfully,

"I'm pregnant" You blurted out, you saw Maxi's face change slightly,

"Who's is it?" Was the next thing he asked,

"Mouse's"

"Then why's it a problem?" He countered, wanting to help you,

You paused, thinking about why this really was a problem,
"Because we haven't talked about having kids; I don't think he wants one yet, if any time"

Mouse's POV

"Dammit" I muttered, I had left my lunch on the countertop at home,

"Hey Beardy? Can I quickly go home and get my lunch? I only live like 2 minutes away" I called,

"That's fine but be really quick"

I ran out of the tower and to the apartment I share with my girlfriend Y/N, I opened the door when I felt a sharp pain in my knee so after getting my lunch from the kitchen, I limp to the bathroom and open the cabinet.

Grabbing some Panadol, something falls off the top of the box, and I look down to see a positive pregnancy test.

Y/N POV

"Thanks Maxi, talking to you really helped" you said standing up and making your way to the front door,

"No problem, let me know if there's anything else I can help with" he said also standing up,

"Will do"

"Oh and tell me how it goes with Mouse" he said, suddenly becoming more serious,

"Ok. I'll see you later, bye!" You said smiling.

Getting back into your car, you noticed the time has slipped by and that Mouse would be home in an hour. You sighed and started he engine, driving back to your own apartment.

Opening the door, you noticed light coming from your bedroom,
That's weird, I thought i turned them off, you thought, walking to open the door.

Turning the handle, you saw Mouse sitting on the floor, his head in his hands,

"Baby what's wrong?" You asked, sitting beside him,

"When were you gonna tell me?" He held up the pregnancy test you had hidden earlier and voice broke in the middle of the sentence,

A tear slipped down your cheek, realising you had brought this man this low,
"Oh Mouse, I'm so sorry. I didn't know what to do"

"When did you find out?" He asked,

"This morning, I- I didn't know what to say  and you were at work and I'm- I'm sorry and I understand if you don't want the baby and you're gonna leave because we never talked about kids-"

Mouse stopped your fast and steady flow of words with a sweet kiss. You relaxed into it and snaked your arms around his neck, when you pulled away, Mouse smiled and bent down,

"Hey there buddy, you're gonna have the best mum ever, we can't wait to meet you" he finished his message with another kiss to your stomach.

He stood back up and cupped your face,

"Y/N, of course I want to have kids with you and I'm sorry for how I reacted earlier, I was shocked and wondered how long you had known, that's all"

You wrapped your arms around him in a firm hug, both enjoying your time together,

"I love you" you said gazing into his eyes,

"I love you too"
