(Hey! I'm back! Quarantine really bit me in the butt and caused some problems. So, I apologize. My motivation and happiness were super low for a long while, so I went to a counselor. It turns out that I have Persistent Depressive Disorder with Anxious Stress. DON'T WORRY THOUGH!! I'm getting better. I'm on new medication and my counselor is chill, so it shouldn't be too long until I'm better. Anyways- Enjoy!)

Virgil sat bolt upright and put his hand over the spot where the stab wound once was, "Ah- what the hell?! I'm-"

"VIRGIL, YOU'RE ALIVE!" Patton shouted, latching onto Virgil with a hug, "You're alive!" He repeated, crying tears of joy.

Virgil tensed up in the hug for a moment before closing his eyes and hugging his father figure back, "Yeah, Pat. I'm alive." When he opened his eyes again, they were back to the same brown as usual. And those brown eyes immediately locked onto Roman, "You can join too if you-"

The Prince didn't let Virgil finish his sentence, instead he pulled both him and Patton into a bone crushing hug and started loudly crying as well, "Virgil, you had us so heartbroken and scared!"

"Ow, I know-"

Patton wiggled his way out of the hug so he could give Virgil his strongest disappointed father look, "Virgil. Never- NEVER do that again! You hear me young man? I'll find a way to heaven and bring you back down here myself if you do!"

The emo smiled wide and chuckled for the first time in ages, "Bold of you to assume I'm going to heaven, but whatever you say Pat."

Roman gasped and sputtered for a moment, "Don't you dare speak as if someone like you wouldn't be making it to the pearly gates!"

Virgil simply shrugged with a smug look on his face, "Hey, I'm just being realistic, Roman-punzel."

Princey let go and stared at Virgil in confusion, "Wha-" he laughed half heartedly, "Heh. Where'd that nickname come from Hot Topic?"

The smug look didn't falter as Virgil shrugged, "Don't know, it just popped into my head."

Patton tilted his head as well, "Wait, did- were you-"

Before he could finish his sentence, the unmistakable sound of metal clashing against metal rang out in the distance. Followed by a familiar voice:

"You can't get rid of ME Thomas! You'll be out of a core side if you do!"

Virgil sighed, "Oh great…" he stood up and brushed himself off, "Looks like we have to go prove my copy wrong. What do you say?" He held his arm out and a black and purple shield appeared, strapped to it. Around the edges of the shield were razor sharp blades, and in the middle was Virgil's signature storm cloud emblem.

Patton hopped up with bright eyes, "Aaaah! So cool!" He started clapping with glee, then suddenly stopped as a sheepish look spread across his face, "Ahem, I mean- I say, let's do it!" He fumbled a bit while attempting to pull his pocket knife out.

Roman shook his head with a smile, "And I say-" he used his good arm and threw his fist in the air "Let us slay that cheap knockoff, you emo nightmare!"

Virgil smirked, "I couldn't ask for anything better. Thank you."

He turned on his heel and began to run with his shield held out in front of him, "Let's go! Thomas's life depends on this!" Roman and Patton were right behind him with smiles on their face and fires in their hearts.

They were going to win this.
