8| Alone in the Dark

He looked at me like I have grown two heads before nodding stiffly making a smile form through my lips as he's fine with it. Yey accomplishment!

He turned his heels again making his way upstairs as I followes my gaze to him, jeez I probably looked creepy but you can't blame me. I'm just happy that his finally not refusing my offer since this past few days.

I prepared some snacks and drinks to the table before picking some movies he would possibly like.

I probably sound so desperate to to form bond with them but I don't care I just need them to accept me like I accepted them.

I few minutes later he finally made his ways downstairs looking like his going out. When he finally did I thought his going straight to my direction but instead his making his ways to the door.

"Where are you going?" I asked at him kinda loud since his a couple meters away from me.

He looked at me annoyed making me slightly cowers away as he makes his way towards me making me stumble a little.

"Why do you care? " he said blunty making me looked away from his eyes. Why is he annoyed about me, I'm only asking.

"I thought we're watching movies together." I said while looking at him with my pleading eyes as he looks away immediately.

"Stop being nosy, I'm going out. " he said leaving me a glare before making his way out of the mansion as I look at him vanish away from my sight.

I sighed and make my way back to the living room and started watching the movie alone. I'm not used watching movie alone in the living room as I always had accompany with me back home, it's either my parents, brothers or friends.

Halfway through the movie I heard the door open as I saw both of the twins figure making their way to the kitchen. They must be really hungry as they started inhaling the food they are eating, yes I said 'inhaling' like they're not chewing it.

I made my way to them before sitting on the chair in front of them as they keep munching their food.

"How's your day? " I asked trying to start conversation with them in my desperate ways.

"Very bad. " Erman mumbled as I  heard it clearly since his infront of me making Evy nudge him on the stomach earning a groan from him.

I looked at Evy expectantly as he always accompany me but only to see him looked away making a smirked on Erman's face.

"Evy?" I asked him again as he munched the sandwich angrily making him looked at me annoyingly? 

"Not now Emery. " he said aggressively before leaving the kitchen making me all alone with Erman who still have the smirk on his face.

"Stupid brat." he mumbled loudly as he want me to hear it. I looked at him sadly before making my way out to the kitchen after apologizing to him.

Evy must be very exhausted or I'm the one whose fault, maybe I'm being annoying to them.

I make my way way to my room after I clean my mess in the living room. I closed my door as I sighed loudly. I plopped myself on my bed as I felt tears slowy making its way down on my cheeks.

Why do I easily cry? Is it hard to accept me? Am I unwanted in this home? Did they despise me? I thought it's easy to be with them like I am to my family back home.

I have no one to lean on here as my brothers all have their own life. I miss my family back home,  I miss mama, papa, Keiden, Enzo, my dog, my friends and even my neighbors.

I remembered what my mama said to me a couple of days ago before I got here.

FLASHBACK

"Family gathering! " I heard my dad called us as we went to the family room immediately.

When we got there, I saw my mama crying with my dad consulting her making me furrowed my eyebrows.

"What's wrong? " I asked as I make my way to her.

My mom just shakes her head as my dad told us to calm down that theirs nothing wrong.

I make my way to the couch next to Enzo while waiting for their announcement. Once my mom called down, she looked at us before looking at me again with sadness through her eyes.

"We need to tell you something but please hear us out, you may hate us but always think we love you okay." my mom said looking dejected as she looks at me teary eyes.

"Emery you know we're not your real parents right, though we think of you as our own honey. " my dad started as I nodded my head timidly as I'm very confused.

"It's time, you're almost sixteen and we need to return you from your real family. Honey we love you so so much but we have no choice as promised we something to your parents, our best friends which is your real parents. " my dad said as he looks so down, so gloomy.

"W-what?" I managed to stutter out as I couldn't believe at the news.

"I know you're confuse but you still have a road to go baby girl. You always asked us about your real parents so now is the right time to tell you. Please hear us out baby girl. " my mom stared as she look at me expectantly making me nodded my head slowly.

"When you're about five years old, you're parents begged us to take you with us because it's very dangerous if you stay with them specially with their financial status? " my mom said as she wipes her tears away.

"They can't feed me? " I asked feeling heartbroken.

"No honey, when in fact it's the opposite, your family are so rich and powerful but they have no choice but to keep you safe since there's a lot of people who's waiting to steal your family's wealth or worse you  and your brothers. Yes, you have six more brothers who are waiting for you to come back." my dad said as I'm still in my shocking state.

"Do they also get adopted by someone else?" I asked after my shocking state.

"No, they don't but two of your older brothers was since most of them can handle themselves, they are at your dad's best friend but they're already got home when they turned 14. Your parents begged us to return you from your real family until you turned 15." my dad finished as I looked at them wishing they're just joking but no, they're serious.

"When will she go? " I heard Keiden ask as he looked so broken.

"Two weeks from now. " my mom said as my dad hugged her at the back.
