JULIE'S POINT OF VIEW:
"Thank you...Parekoy." I heard papa say.
I smiled upon hearing what my dad called Elmo, he used to call him "Parekoy" when we were still a tandem back then, Magkasundong magkasundo sila ni Papa mas anak pa nga ata ang turing niya kay Elmo kesa sakin eh, Hay how I miss the old times...
"Uhm Julie, Ma'am, Sir una na po kami ni Clara..." Elmo politely said.
"Elmo di mo naman kailangan maging pormal pwede mo parin naman kaming tawaging Tito at Tita..." Papa said and tapped Elmo's shoulder.
"At Elmo..." Papa called.
"Ako parin ang Parekoy mo..." Papa said and gave Elmo a smile.
"Salamat po Tito, Tita..." Elmo said.
"Oh siya mauna na kayo at baka abutin pa kayo ng madaling araw sa paguwi." My mom said.
He nodded and went near my mom and dad to pay respect by 'pagmamano' , I smiled at the thought of him giving respect to my parents, I also felt sad by the thought of Ben, I rarely see him talk to my parents, tuwing pupunta siya sa bahay he would just wait in his car, he would not bother go down just to ask permission to my parents to take me out nor even greet them a single Hello.
"Julie..." Elmo called.
I looked at him.
"Uhm una na kami, It was nice seeing you again..." He shyly said.
"It was nice see you too Elmo, and sorry you had to see those things kanina..." I said and bowed my head.
I felt him take a step closer to me, "Julie you don't have to say sorry about what happened gago lang talaga yang boyfriend mo..." He said and chuckled a bit.
"Sorry kasi nadamay ka pa..." I apologized again.
"Hayst ang kulit talaga." Elmo said and pinched my nose.
I gave him a smile, I miss Elmo no doubt.
"Pero seriously thank you Elmo..." I said and gave him a hug, a tight one.
I felt him hug me back, "Anything for you, Julie Anne..." he whispered.
I got out from the hug and pushed him playfully towards the exit.
"Umuwi ka na nga ang dami mong alam." I said and playfully rolled my eyes.
He just chukled and shook his head. "Clara let's go pinapauwi na tayo ng Ate Julie mo kasi kinikilig siya." Elmo called Clara then looks back at where I am.
"Bye Julie wag ka masyadong kiligin dyan." He said while waving his hand before heading out the venue.
I just shook my head with what he said as I walk back to where my parents are.
"It's nice seeing you smile like that anak, it's been a while since I last saw you this happy..." My dad said.
"Talagang siya lang ang nakakapagbigay ng ganyang ngiti sa mga labi mo anak..." Mom commented,
I don't know how would I react to what my parent said, I just gave them a smile.
"Anak ibang iba talaga si Parekoy kesa sa boyfriend mo ngayon..." Papa said.
"Oo nga nak tingnan mo si Elmo kahit ang tagal tagal na simula nung nabuwag loveteam niyo nagbibigay parin ng respeto samin ng papa mo pero yang boyfriend mong hilaw ni isang beses di ko man lang narinig na magpaalam at magbigay respeto samin ng papa mo..." My mom added.
