Chapter 11: Rizza

Daphnie's POV

All the boys went out of the room. Kami nalang dalawa ni Rizza ang natira. Tumayo siya kaagad mula sa pagkakaluhod pagkalabas nila.

The thing I hate about her is the way she smirks. Nakakaloko. Parang palagi siyang may naiisip na kung ano man at dapat kang kabahan dahil hindi yun maganda. I tried being casual kasi alam kong kailangan kong makisama sa mga taong nasa paligid ko pero ayaw niya kasi talaga sa akin! And I know the reason why. 

She likes Luke. 

"What is it?" sabi ko

"You see," she took a step forward dahilan upang mapaurong ako, "hey don't be afraid. I won't bite.." 

Tumawa siya mag-isa ngunit huminto rin kalaunan dahil seryoso pa rin ako. This girl in front of me worked with Lukeir and Polly to kill me. Kahit kailan, hindi ko na sila mapagkakatiwalaan pa ulit. 

"Fine," she sat above the teacher's desk and stared at me, "I'm going to States. Doon na ako mag-aaral tutal nagtagumpay na rin naman kayong patalsikin ako sa eskwelahang 'to.." 

Excuse me?

"That's entirely your fault, Rizza.. you did nasty things." sabi ko 

Natawa siya, "Nagmahal lang ako, Daphnie.." 

"Hindi mo naman pwedeng ipagpilitan ang sarili mo sa isang tao. May nagmamahal naman sayo eh, ayaw mo lang tanggapin--" she cut me off

"Are you talking about that Anthony guy? Huh! Isa pa yon. Alam mo kung totoong kaibigan ka talaga.. bakit hindi mo isaksak sa kokote ng taong iyon na kahit kailan hindi ko siya magugustuhan!" 

My heart is aching for Anthony. Batid ko kung paano niya nagustuhan si Rizza pero paano niya ba nagagawa yun? 

How do you even stay in that exact same place where someone you love left you hanging? 

"I'll surely do that. You do not deserve Anthony." mariin kong sambit 

"You do not deserve anyone either," she flashed an insincere smile, "You know what? If those guys liked me and gave me a chance to be part of Newton, I'll serve my purpose right." 

What is she talking about? 

"Those guys do everything to protect you. Do you even believe that it's just because you are part of them and you are a friend?" 

She snapped, "Believe me or not, I think those guys are just waiting to gain your full trust until they make you satisfy their needs."

Bumibigat ang paghinga ko. I can feel my heart throbbing not because my mind is being twisted by her words,  but because I do not like how she talks about my friends. 

I know at this point, gusto niyang makita akong manlumo. I want to wreck her plan and not give the satisfaction that she wants. 

Ngumiti ako, "I am just really grateful that Luke didn't fell for a promiscuous bitch like you. What kind of mind do you even have? Because honestly, your brain needs a lot of fixing!" 

I am aware that what I said was the cue for her to attack me. Hinila ko rin ang kanyang buhok hanggang sa parehas na kaming nasa sahig. Nasa ibabaw ko siya kung kaya't buong lakas akong tumayo at tinulak siya. We switched positions. Ako na ngayon ang nasa taas at patuloy siyang sinasabunutan. Sigaw na siya nang sigaw.

Narinig kong bumukas ang pinto ngunit patuloy pa rin ako sa pagsabunot sa kanyang buhok.

"The next time you talk shit about my friends, I'll even cut your filthy hair!" hiyaw ko sa mukha niya
