The First Dance

Ashton: Oh, It Is Love - HelloGoodbye

Ashton rested his forehead against yours as the two of you swayed across the dance floor, blissfully forgetting the eyes of every wedding guest. “Hey, guess what,” Ashton whispered with a grin. “What?” you responded, smiling back. Ashton leaned down so his lips were by your ear before quietly announcing, “We’re married!” “Are we really?” you asked, eyes widening in mock surprise. “That’s what they’re telling me, anyway,” Ashton giggled, making you laugh as well. “They’re must be some kind of mistake,” you informed him, “How could I possibly have gotten lucky enough to marry you?” “I was thinking the same thing,” Ashton sighed in contentment. “I’m so in love with you,” you informed him with a light laugh. “Good,” Ashton murmured before pressing his lips to yours.

Michael: Better Man - James Morrison

Michael held you close, humming along to the song he had picked for your first dance. “You look amazing,” you complimented him, patting his tie lovingly. “I look amazing?” he repeated, “Have you seen yourself?” “This is nothing compared to later tonight,” you whispered with a smirk. Michael’s eyes bulged at just the mention of tonight’s plans. You laughed at his expression before patting his cheek and adding, “We won’t stay at the reception too long.” “You know,” he began laughingly, “This moment right here is supposed to be really romantic and sweet and you’re making that difficult.” You chuckled, nodding your head in agreement. “That’s why I love you, though,” he added with a shrug.

Luke: The First Day of My Life - Bright Eyes

Luke took your hand in his as his other found your waist. He pulled you a bit closer before leading you across the floor in some sort of mixture of swaying and trotting. “What is this?” you inquired laughingly. “It’s my new dance,” he answered, pulling you to a stop in the center. He pecked your lips and let go of your hip. “Okay, spin,” he instructed, raising your hand above your head. You laughed, but obliged, spinning in a tight circle. “Faster!” Luke encouraged excitedly. You obeyed, spinning and laughing until you lost your balance, falling into Luke’s chest. “I’m so dizzy,” you giggled as he held you tightly. “I’m so in love,” he returned, kissing you gently.

Calum: The Girl - City and Colour

Calum sang along to your favorite song as you circled the dance floor easily. “Are you thanking me for making you take dance lessons with me yet?” you questioned, watching him concentrate on his footwork. “I’ll never thank you,” Calum stated, trying not to laugh. You shook your head at him lovingly. Soon the beat picked up, and Calum let go of you. He grabbed your hand and lead you in a dance that was clearly an original. He jumped around, pulling you with him as you laughed. Out of breath, he gave up on his new dance before the song was over. Pulling you back to him, you swayed slowly as he caught his breath. “Dancing is hard,” he panted. “Those were some sick moves,” you joked. “They were all for you,” he informed you with a cheeky grin. “I love you,” you laughed, pulling his face closer and connecting your lips to his.
