i've always been this mess of colours,
so bright and so dull at the same time.
these shades have coated my once
white-canvas skin and people try their
best to remove these colours just so
they can wound me and leave their
own marks in permanent, colourful scars.
but you, being the kind artist that you are,
knew better. instead of scratching away
my past hues, you gifted me a clean canvas
with a box full of all my favourite colours
proving that i was more than just a mess
of colours by cruel and selfish artists.
