i don't ever want to feel what
i did yesterday when i heard
the news that almost broke
me into pieces, i feared i was
about to face my worst fear
but perhaps the universe had
pity on my already damaged
soul and didn't take you away
but i still feel those shivers of
silence, when i close my eyes
i'm filled with dread & tears too
wish i could take your pain away
and hold you close to me tonight
but you're away with yesterday
haunting your mind, and i'm not
able to help you, i can't heal you
because i'm as scared as you are
i know that you're hiding your fear
and sadness behind that happy facade
and you have no clue what i know.
