i saw, felt, more sunsets than i ever did before.
it feels surreal, almost like a dream, and i'm not
sure whether i should learn to let go of things or
hold on to them in the warm afterglow.

the sky blends into its prettiest shades of violets
and pinks and yellows and blues every time, but
it's unique and astonishing no matter how many
times you see it.

because there's more than what meets the eyes.
it is what we perceive and how we want to live in
the moment. i want to hold on to those lights of
the other world as if they connect me to what i
know as the heaven of my mind.

those colours aren't meant to be described in poetic
verses or be replicated on a painter's canvas. they
cannot be captured through any lens of the world
except for the ones of our eyes.

nature is just like that and we are its mere witnesses,
playing our roles and falling in love with the shades
we can't even dream of; the hues of growth and letting
go of unimportant things and toxic people but always
holding on to the beautiful souls.

after all, the lights may fade away but the traces remain
for a while and forever in our memories.
