Everything about this day felt nice. Even the busy roads of London were not bothering him today. His heart and mind had never given him so much comfort before. As he looked out to the city while driving, his journey to Islam of the past two months flashed before his eyes making him smile. Believing that life was of some purpose and realising that there is a God who provides, who loves and who listens to His people was something that moved Daniel every time he thought about it.

So many people believe He doesn't exist just because He is not a person in front of our eyes whom we can call God. But in truth, it is the people who don't try to find Him. If they try, even once with an open mind, they would find Him. Because he did. And if someone like him who grew up in a country, in a society which was far from any faith and belief, managed to find Him by making an effort, every single person on this earth would too. All these thoughts in Daniel's mind made him realise the importance of having and understanding faith. Just by having a firm belief, we can perceive and understand life and its purpose.

When he stopped outside his residence and thought to himself about how he would break this news to his mother, nervousness was taking a toll on him. But it had to be done. He couldn't hide such an important development in his life from his mother. He only hoped that she would understand and would support his decision.

Amy was already preparing breakfast when Daniel came inside and greeted her with a smile.

"Took you a while to return, the morning prayer must have ended long ago, no?" She asked while setting the table with food.

"Yes, I had to do something and then just didn't realise the time."

"Right. Okay, come, have breakfast. You must be starving. I prepared you sausages and bacon."

Daniel sat down to eat and nervously smiled seeing the menu. He clearly couldn't eat the bacon and sausages but how to tell his mother without upsetting her.

"Go on, eat."

"Urr... mom, I..."

Amy looked at him with curiosity, waiting for him to finish his sentence.

"I have something to tell you."

"Yes?"

"Actually... Gosh I don't know how to say this. Actually I converted to Islam."

Amy almost dropped the plate she was holding in her hand but she kept her shocked self in control.

"You what?"

"I converted to Islam and I am now a Muslim, mom. So I can't eat bacon and the sausages."

Amy had disbelief and shock on her face, and although it did not indicate her anger or displeasure, she was still taken aback.

"What happened all of a sudden?"

That was all she could ask.

"I don't know how it happened. Remember I told you I was visiting the mosque regularly and it just felt nice you know. Then I started to learn more about Islam and it all made sense. I couldn't help myself from learning more and more everyday. You don't mind this, right?"
