Author's Note:2ArchAngels is NOT happy with Ezio when she discovers just how BRUTALLY he took down Uberti and the effect that they are having on Athena. All the while on their way to take Maria and Claudia Auditore to Spain where they will be safe...or that's Ezio's hope that is Connor from ACIII makes a ghostly appearance also. Corentin Elise Alabaster was NOT a happy assassin at the moment. When she saw Athena's emotional state she all but drug Kadar by the hood to the side to get to the bottom of it. Kadar looked troubled also "What happened that has Athena in a state?" she asked

"Uberti is dead," Kadar said

"I gathered as much from the blood on Ezio's robes, now what happened?" she asked.

Cory had seen Athena like this one time, and that is when she and her sister's mentors were killed "Ezio...he, ah..." Kadar stumbled on his words

"He what?" she asked.

Kadar knew she was not the person to set off, her french blood was screaming for a fight "He lost his temper," Kadar said

"Lost his temper?" she asked

"Yes, he lost his temper the way Altair would have over a close friend or..." Kadar broke off.

Cory sighed, she and Mary had been there to see the aftermath of Laura Cormac and Shay Dorian's deaths. Cory had hoped that Athena would have put that behind her, but it would seem that Ezio's stupidity put Athena into a really dark place. Ezio looked over at Athena worried. Curious of what the bastard of an Auditore was up to watched "Athena?" Ezio asked worriedly.

When Athena didn't reply Cory knew how bad it was "Ezio, get away from her for right now," she said.

Ezio looked at her with a dark look "Why should I?" he asked

"Because you are the reason that she is in this state of mind!" she snapped.

Ezio looked at her "I didn't do anything!" Ezio replied

"Hmm, Uberti ring any bells in that head of yours novice?" she asked.

Damn she was sounding like Malik right now who would have most likely run Ezio through with a sword by now regardless of Ezio and Athena being soulmates "What about it?" he asked

"You stabbing him so brutally multiple times has caused a scar that will never heal to reopen." she snapped back not seeing Mary at the bottom of the steps

"What scar would that be?" he asked

"Cory, you can't bitch him out because he didn't know." Mary said, "Judging by Kadar's lost expression on what to do, I take it he just found out?"

"You stay out of this Kidd," she warned

"Stop picking fights with Athena's soulmate because he had no idea what happened to Athena in her past prior to the discovery of the truth." Mary said, "I will explain it to him and Paola while you and Kadar take her to her room."

Kadar walked over and took Athena by the hand "Your safe akht, you're safe," Kadar said. (sister)

Cory helped Kadar get Athena upstairs as Mary was left to deal with the aftermath of her outburst.

Mary Ann Kidd waited for Cory and Kadar to get Athena upstairs, unlike Cory who would have blurted it out making Athena's mental stress worse on the matter at hand she waited until the three were out of earshot. Paola looked at her "Paola, do you have a place quite enough for the three of us to speak?" she asked
