While Rapunzel is distracted fighting a vodnik, another one comes up behind her and jerks her frying pan from her hands. Varian runs toward her, sword in hand, prepared to defend her. But a vodnik tosses its trident at him, knocking the sword from his hand as a group of vodniks encircle him and the princess.
"Stay here," Hook Foot tells Seraphina, setting her down. "I gotta help my friends!" With an angry shout, he shoves past a vodnik and leaps onto the one that stole Rapunzel's frying pan. It loses its grip on the pan, sending it flying through the air. Rapunzel catches it eagerly, and smashes it against a vodnik's head.
The vodnik Hook Foot attacked grabs hold of him and tosses him to the ground. He groans, as Seraphina calls his name worriedly.
Varian mentally assesses the situation: Cassandra, Eugene, and Lance are all trapped by coral. He and Rapunzel are surrounded by vodniks. Hook Foot is being held down by a vodnik. "This does not seem to be going well for us," he says, backing up against Rapunzel as the creatures continue to press in on them.

"Stop!" Seraphina suddenly shouts. She holds a pearl over her head as the vodniks turn towards her. "You want it?"
That must be what she stole, Varian thinks.
"What are you doing?!" Hook Foot asks, now being held in a chokehold.
"I'll go in peace, if you leave Hook Foot and his friends alone," Seraphina announces. "Or else... goodbye pearl." She lays the pearl on top of a stone, and raises a large rock above it like she's going to smash it.
"No, not the pearl!" A vodnik yells. He sighs and says, "As you wish."
Seraphina tosses the pearl to the vodniks as they begin to release Hook Foot's friends. Varian heaves a sigh of relief, still leaning against Rapunzel.
Hook Foot rushes to Seraphina, and takes her hands in his. "I don't want you to go," he tells her sadly.
"Sorry sugar, but I gotta," Seraphina says, seemingly just as sad as him.
Hook Foot suddenly removes his hook, and hands it to Seraphina. "Here, somethin' to remember me by."
"How will he walk now?" Varian wonders aloud.
"Don't worry, he has plenty of extras," Eugene tells him.
"Giving a hook to a fish, really?" Seraphina asks, holding it in her hands. When Hook Foot looks disappointed, she smiles. "Kidding. I love it." She gives him a kiss, and then the vodniks pick her up and carry her away with them.
"Seraphina!" Hook Foot calls after her.
"Bye, good-lookin'," Seraphina replies, waving as she disappears from view.
Hook Foot stands motionless, too sad to move. His friends encircle him, comforting him until he is finally ready to leave.
