Chapter 2

I woke up early next morning and took in my surrounding, I looked at Thalia's empty camp bed and figured she would have already gone down to breakfast. I took a shower and joined her, Thalia and my mother was sitting at the table talking. "What are you girls up to today" she asked handing me a plate of cherry muffins and cup of almond milk. "Thought we'd go to Sunway lagoon" I said tucking in. "That'll be fun, remember that time when Chloe got stuck in that water slide" Thalia said with a grin on her face. "Oh do I," I said choking into my milk remembering that crazy incident " It took us soo long to find her, she nearly lost hope. " she thought she was gonna be stuck in that ride forever" Thalia agreed " how ridiculous". 10 minutes later we packed up our swim suits and got into my car and started our 2 hour journey to the theme park. On our way we listened to and sang many songs, Thalia asked me a lot of questions about our friends, but whenever I started talking about Miranda She would become quiet so, I thinking that maybe Thalia and Miranda had had a small disagreement, dropped it. We stopped at a cafe and ordered fish and chips. By the next half an hour we had reached the park, got our tickets, and were on our way to our first ride. It was the best one ever. I had almost forgotten the funny way Thalia screamed. " there's the
one that Chloe got stuck in , come on!" Next, we went to the donut shaped tube ride. " THIS IS AMAZING" I screamed. We spent the rest of the day going to rides like the mummies revenge and scream park. Hours later or what seemed like minutes we climbed into my car, to head home. We had dinner of cold turkey and lay on our beds recounting our day and laughing at the funny moments like when Thalia slipped on a pool of water and fell and also when I was going to do a cannonball but it turned out to be something between a leap and a twist. "Renee?" Thalia called, "yeah?. " it feels wonderful to be with you again" I was overwhelmed with sadness at the thought of Thalia's holiday coming to an end.
"Today was a blast wasn't it?" I asked feeling wild. "Oh my God! Yes!!" She said and gave me a huge hug. "You know what else was fun?" She smirked. "God don't start again..." I rolled my eyes at her. We were goofing around for about half an hour We heard my mum coming upstairs. She came in and forced us both to go to sleep because we were making a rattle here.
"Goodnight Renee.." "Night.. Thalia"

I twisted and turned. "God why can't I get some sleep?" I moaned. I peeped over and saw Thalia, peacefully mumbling away in her dreams. Suddenly I heard a glass crashing onto million pieces. I got off my bed and ran down stairs too see what happened. And again I heard some stuff falling onto the floor. "What the...." I came into the kitchen.. and there she was.. Miranda.. staring back at me with her blue eyes. "Mi.. Miranda??" I stammered. "What are you doing here??" I asked. She didn't utter a word. She just turned back and ran. I ran after her, she continued running into the woods. I lost her. "Miranda? Miranda??! Where did you go?! Why did you come here?!". Then suddenly I heard her voice screaming from somewhere far away. "Don't believe them! Don't believe them Renee, They're lying to you!. Her voice echoed through the woods and then her voice died down until I couldn't hear a thing except the rustling of leaves.
