I continued my way back to where we came from but that melodic voice continues to echo around the cave. This is bad, it does sound beautiful but there's something dangerous about it. I feel dizzy just concentrating on the sound, but the good thing is, is that my race's ability to nullify status effects is activated.
Oh yeah, different races have different abilities. I recently unlocked this nullifying spell last time after we defeated Poseidon, it's called Refresh and it costs a lot of MP but the effects lasts for fifteen minutes, it's an ability of the Angel race. I'm only using it to myself so my MP recovers in those fifteen minutes that's why it's not a problem casting it. Anyways, I need to hurry up and find the others, this voice is really dangerous, it doesn't sound good anymore. This song confuses those who hear it.
"Ailus! Lyric!" I called, my fifteen minutes was up so I recasted my Refresh spell. I'm back here close to the entrance and no one's here. How will I look for them, I can't hear anything because of the voice.
I tried to look around for any signs of a battle but still no luck. I went on to one of the openings and tried searching there. I still can't hear anything. The voice is so loud, with the cave having so many openings, the sound gets amplified making it quite unbearable.
I walked for a few more minutes and I found something. There's something on the ground, a piece of singed cloth. I sat down to look at it, maybe this was a piece of cloth from Lyric's enemy. Let's just hope it's not the other way around.
"They must be close," I thought.
I went on to check around but I was lead back to the entrance cave. I tried looking at some of the other openings but I was always lead back here where the lake was. I don't know how to navigate here, my sense of direction is kind of not working well and I guess it's because of the sound. It still affects me even though I've activated Refresh.
"Lyric! Ailus!" I tried screaming out their names again but I guess they won't hear it because even I can't hear myself. I went to one of the openings again, hoping to find even the slightest sign of them but nothing.
I was tired. I don't have any of those Stamina Potions. I've used all of it. I fell down, trying to rest. I have to find them quick, I can't go on like this. My stamina's already pretty low and my MP is going down too. I was fighting some cave monsters, some monsters like Giant Cave Spiders and Earth Worms attacks every now and then.
"I need to move, I can't stay sitting here," I thought to myself as I gather the will to stand up. I was about to get up to my feet when I felt the ground trembling, so I fell down to the earth again. The ground, it's vibrating not shaking, I realized. Realizing that, I layed down and placed my ear closer to the ground.
"Vibrations," I whispered to myself, I was right. I hear hooves! That's right! Angelica! Lyric's pet is a Unicorn, she has hooves! I tried to feel it for a few more minutes, it's getting closer. I tried composing myself, I should be ready. Either this is an enemy or this is Lyric.
It's getting close, I feel the ground vibrating more. I got ready, took out my Elemental Weapon and equipped it, it became a staff. I was now ready to cast a spell, if this is an enemy, I can still fight. I still have MP left.
I can feel it a few more seconds and...
My jaw dropped, I even almost dropped my staff but I tried calming myself. It wasn't Lyric nor an enemy. Centaurs! One, two... I counted. Five, there's five of them and they were all running towards me, towards the opening. I jumped on one of them as they pass through me.
We made eye contact for a minute but he continued running. I tried saying something but my voice was still clouded by the voice. I don't know how to get down so I stayed at its back. We were now back at the part of the cave where the lake was located. A lot more of creatures was making their way out. Creatures who found home in this cave system, everyone is still fleeing. I looked around hoping I would see my friends but still no luck.
"Hey," I shouted and tapped the centaur.
"I can't hear you, later young master," he mouthed which is something I didn't understand. They continue fleeing until we made it out of the cave.
There was no sandstorm, how is that even possible? I looked around and a few more creatures went out, some Nymphs, and a lot more that I don't recognize.
"Young Master," the centaur said which surprised me.
"Ye-Yes?" I asked.
"Worry not, I know you're scared but I'm not going to hurt you," he assured me. He actually look quite worried, maybe he's really not that bad.
"Thanks," I thanked him awkwardly.
"It's not normal that we get visitors here," he said, "this cave system, it's not that easy to find because it's protected by a strong barrier that blocks it from being shown from maps," he then added.
"Ohh," I just said, "My friends!" I said just realizing it, I have to go back there.
"We can't go back there, the protector of the cave is not very happy," he said.
"Protector of the cave?" I asked.
"Yes Young Master, Undine, she's a water spirit," he said which made me remember the thing I saw underneath the water.
"You mean that spirit inside the water orb?" I asked.
"That... We'll talk about it later" he then said, what was he going to say?
"Why?" I asked, "My friends, I still need to look for them," I said as I tried going down from him.
"Don't worry, they may be safe. It's dangerous to go back inside as Undine is not in the mood. She's singing her Lullaby of Death," he explained.
"But..." I said.
"I'm sorry Young Master but for now it's not possible," he said cutting me.
"I hope you guys are alright, Ailus, Lyric," I thought to myself as I look back to the cave. I can still here the faint sound coming from the cave.

I sent it to both Ailus and Lyric, they're both online but it doesn't mean anything. As long as you're inside the game your status will always be online. I really hope they're safe. The party was also disbanded, maybe because we didn't have a chance to regroup.
All of the creatures formed a circle, I'm still on the back of Chiron, the centaur. They were now planning on going somewhere I don't know, a safe haven I guess. I wasn't listening as I was thinking, worried about my friends.
"Where are you guys? Please message back" I thought to myself as we started to move. The cave was now just a small dot as we gain distance. I was feeling weak, I don't know why.
