as tears come streaming down my face
i think of you
and my heart beats a little faster
seeing flashbacks
of your smile
your eyes
i'm hearing
the sound of your voice
the sound of your laugh

i used to wake up smiling
every morning
knowing that
i had you to make me smile
and happy

i miss your cute texts
your cute snaps
you used to send me
i miss seeing your name pop up
with the 💛 at the end of your name

i miss you complimenting me
i miss you wanting me

but in this ending
there was a happy ending
wanna know why?

cause we ended up being friends
although i wish
we were more

if this is what it takes
to keep you in my
life

i will

who knows
what the future holds

maybe i'll be
with you

but i am still sad,
cause i wish
you were mine

my heart is shattered
but knowing that
you will be in my life

i'm okay
with that

if that's what it will take
for you to stay
