Hiccstrid One Shots: The Sequel

Hope and Astrid glided above the crystal blue water on patrol. The wind blew gently, stinging their eyes as stray hairs started flying from Hope's braid, Astrid's bangs whipping the side of her face. It was just before dawn when they left to get a morning flight in before patrol. The sun was now rising over the horizon. Hope stayed on Astrid's wing as they flew, her eyes never straying too far, due to one thought on her mind.

She had to get Astrid back. She promised Hiccup whenever the two of them went on solo flights like this, that she would make sure Astrid got back to the edge okay. Everything was going according to plan for their flight, but then Hope spotted something

"Astrid, over there!" Hope leaned forward in her saddle, pointing toward the vast sea below

Astrid followed where Hope was pointing "Dragon hunters. What are they doing so close?" Astrid turned to Hope

Hope sat back in her saddle "I don't know. All I know is that I don't like it. Let's get a closer look."

Hope directed Treasure down toward the ship, Astrid now on her wing.

Hope pulled back to a hover still above the clouds, she shuffled through her saddlebag "That's Viggo on the ship." Hope held her spyglass to her chest

"Let's take him down." Astrid directed Stormfly to get closer

"Astrid no!" Hope dived after her "Let's go get back up!"

Hope raced to catch up with Astrid.

"Stormfly!" Astrid exclaimed from Stormfly being hit with a dragon root arrow

A chain shot up from the ship. The chain made a significant cut in Astrid's side before finishing coiling around her waist.

"Astrid grab my hand!" Hope leaned as far as she could in the saddle, keeping one hand on the handle to pull herself back up

Astrid stretched her hand out "Almost... There."

Their hands met and Hope started pulling back. The chain tugged Astrid away from her grasp.

"No!" Hope watched as Astrid was pulled through the air

Hope was flung off of the saddle. Treasure swooped and caught Hope while Astrid was being dragged up onto the deck of the ship.

"We have to go get Hiccup." Hope's breathing was heavy as Treasure turned around to go back to the edge

Astrid watched Stormfly being led into a dragon proof cell, getting more on her nerves than anything. Her eyes trailed to spot Viggo walking toward her.

"Get her a healer, throw her into a cell." Viggo didn't make any eye contact

"You are going to regret doing this Viggo." Astrid thrashed against the dragon hunters holding her, only to regret that decision

Astrid noticed Hope flying in the other direction to get help... Hopefully. They tossed Astrid into one of the cells in back, slamming the door in front of her.

"Get here soon." Astrid muttered to herself as she held her side

Hiccup stood in front of the stables waiting for Hope and Astrid. He felt that something was wrong... He hated saying it because the twins say it all the time but it's a twin thing. A bright white figure landed at the end of the runway, Hope slid off of Treasure. Wait... Wasn't Astrid with her?
