The following poem was written before the summer solstice.
These times are hard
Emotions frayed
I try to be aware
I take a walk
To ease my pain
Let my thoughts stray elsewhere
A sliver streak
Glows far away
Thin contrail follows close
I look around
For more contrails
And then I diagnose
Early spring days
Have been so blue
Few planes fly in the air
A side effect
Of viral plague
Clear skies we all can share
A vibrant blue
Most children pick
To draw a sunny day
I wonder if
We all could choose
To let our blue sky stay
