Ch 23: Be Together

"And this is where Marty would've said, "Fascinating."" Ray smiled.

"All right, everybody, I know you're sad about the professor leaving, so this is what we're gonna do. I want you to take all of your feelings about Martin and put it in a box, and then, I want you to close the box, and then, you're gonna lock the box."

"And your feelings for Clarity where we at on that?" Nate asked. "Are those also crammed up tight?"

"Excuse me?" Sara demanded eyebrows shooting up.

"Nathaniel." Amaya scolded. "Not the time..."

"What?" He looked around, "what better time is there? There's always an anachronism. I just want to know where you two stand...and if it's going to make the mission all weird and complicated."

"Right cause you want to know if Clarity is off the market for the mission." Came Zari's sardonic reply, rolling her eyes. "No ulterior motives there."

Sara sighed. She looked to Clarity. Where did they stand? Was Clarity even mentally right for a relationship right now? They needed to talk. Properly. But between her kid showing up and Sara leading the team they...they hadn't found a moment.

"That's a discussion to be had." Sara shifted her weight. "We have a mission to focus on. No time for discussion on love or togetherness right now."

"Well, that sounds healthy." Snart drawled from where he leant on the wall.

"Maybe not," Sara denied. "but we got a job to do. Gideon, the Anachronism, please." Sara ordered.

"Uh, Level 12?" Zari wondered in confusion as she saw the screen.

"That's only supposed to go to ten." Clarity frowned.

"Level Ten didn't do it justice.Leif Eriksson's Vikings set up a colony in the New World around 1000 A.D." Gideon told her.

"Little known fact, the Vikings "discovered"
the Americas 492 years before Columbus,
but due to Eriksson's adoption of Christianity,
the Vikings decided to pack up their bags and head home." Nate hopped in but everyone stared at him in boredom. Jonas even yawned.

Nate cleared his throat awkwardly. "Sorry, Gideon, you were saying?"

"In this version of history, the Vikings stayed and conquered all of North America, or as it's called now, New Valhalla."

"Great." Sara clapped his hands together. "Okay, Gid set a course for epicenter of this one. Everyone else strap in, Jonas show Elicia and Snart how to properly lock in their straps. Clarity....a word?"

Sara walked out into the hall, and she waited...with crossed arms, tense, relaxing only when Clarity glitched in front of her. "Okay. Here's the deal. I don't know what was you and what was crash...and you've got your kid back...and I know you're going to do everything you can to put her first...but Clarity...don't just live for that kid...because it'll kill you. I know you and I love you and I want to be with you. I know you don't want to confuse her...because you aren't the version of you that had her...but..."

"But what? What are you even saying right now?"

"I don't know! Everything...everything I have shoved into that tiny little special bigger on the inside box that I have for you. Everything that's been on my mind...I held a version of you that died in my arms with a smile on her face like it was the best thing to happen to her. Seeing that light leave her eyes....your eyes..."

Sara cupped her face in her hands.

"I know I told you that I was sick of waiting...but Clarity I realized that losing you...losing the chance of being with you...that's even worse. I need you in my life. If you still need time...to find yourself...to help the kid adjust I'll-"

Clarity glitched from her hold, leaning forwards to close the distance between them. Clarity kissed her, softly, tenderly and Sara all but melted into it.

"I don't need to wait, Sara." Clarity denied as she pulled back, bright blue sparks floating up off her skin "I don't need a fresh start. I don't need to rewrite our story, messy and chaotic as it is...I'm such a glitch for not realizing sooner...I'm sorry for making you wait...I'm sorry for wasting time...I'm sorry for being so down lately...I..."

"Shh...don't apologize...you have nothing to be sorry for...are you sure you're ready?"

"I'm sure, Sara....more sure than I've been about anything for a long while...."

They embrace again, and Mick yelled from down the hall. "Sparky! Come fix the beer!"

"He has a problem Clarity- don't do a thing." Leo's voice sounded right after. The two obviously in the kitchen. "Don't enable him!"

Sara sighed, pulling back. "Do you still have that apartment? We may have to visit it."

Clarity smiled. "Maybe after we deal with those Vikings....ollie wouldn't mind baby sitting again would he?"

"I'll send him a text." Sara ran her hands down Clarity's sides with a smile.

"Sparky!" Mick's voice echoed sounding more enraged.

Clarity smiled. "I need to go help him."

"I know." Sara squeezed her hips. "Go. Save Rory."

"Mick doesn't need saving."

"Then save Leo." Sara amended shaking her head in amusement.

Clarity laughed. "Oh no...I'm not saving Leo..."
She backed up from Sara and looked back over her shoulder with a grin, lightning crackled in her hand and her eyes. "Someone's gotta teach him not to mess with Mick's beer."

With that said, she glitched away leaving Sara with a warm bright feeling in her chest.

They were together now.

Glitch is back!!! Updates will be monthly- gonna fly through the Beebo episode and then Constantine finally shows up! And spoilers but- that's clarity's soulmate- okay? The Claristine Sara throuple is gonna freaking happen I've been planning it for years- just look at my season six or was it seven? God that was a bad season. Or maybe Sara, Clarity and John just have a few three ways and Clarity gets Mazzy that way- but John's still be in the kid and Clarity and Sara's life. But Anyways- it wouldn't be a glitch chapter without questions so....
