"My goodness, you're really working out some rage issues with, uh, Professor Stein." Leo noted hands clasped together. "You must be very angry that he left you all."
"No," Mick denied. "I just hate puppets."
After that said, after a single look at him, the arsonist left the room. Leo pressed his lips together. He had been looking forwards to speaking with him. Oh well. Onto the next.
"All right, I am... I am putting the puppet away." Leo tucked Stein away when it was Jax's turn. "I... I get it now. That wasn't the best tactic. Look, Jax, I think that you, even more so than the others, must be in pain about this."
"Our time traveling adventures together died so he could live his life, and be there for his family. What's there to be in pain about?"
"From your tone of frustration I'd say your regretting something. It wasn't your fault. He made the choice to go."
"I put the idea in his head. Couldn't handle the guilt weighin on me for making him stick around. I should never have given him that Firestorm cure. It's not the same here without havin my powers. I didn't think it was gonna be so different. I didn't think...I never thought I'd end up wanting to go back home. I'm frustrated at giving up Firestorm. Cause really I'm not sure if I wanna stay anymore either."
"Why the sudden change of heart?" Snart tilted his head.
"There's this girl, Roxie. I had the biggest crush on her back in high school. I should have asked her out. I never did. Then we reconnected before all the Nazi's came knocking. We had a good thing at the wedding, I want to make it more. I should've been strong enough for both of us and asked her out. I can't do that from the ship, I don't want to drag her into all this wacky danger. She'd get sucked in, that's not the kind of relationship I want. If I get with her I want to keep her safe from all of this. She's a meta too but she's made it clear- fighting ain't her thing and I want to respect that."
"You want to leave the team to be with some girl you knew in your younger years?"
"No, I-I want to leave to have a life out there in our time like Grey. Finish my degree, date, get a job and a house. Girlfriend, Wife, kids, the whole nine yards. Make my mom proud instead of havin to lie to her about where I am every week. Things on the ship are always exciting, if I leave I'll miss it, but what if by staying here I'm missing out on my chances to make a life for myself out there?"
"Are you sure you can't just date her from the ship?" Leo suggested.
"I...Mm...All right, you know, no. We're not doing this. Long distance never works." Jax denied. "I don't need a damn life coach."
Just before Jax made it out of the room, an earthquake rumbled the ship. Clarity went flying out of Gideon's systems- Clarity having been playing Mario kart with the kiddos like she was Vanellope.
"What was that?" Leo demanded, gripping onto the desk.
"That Lightning was Clarity." Jax answered. "The rumbling was a time quake. Quakes like that always knock her out of the systems. Cmon." Jax urged him, everyone running to Rips office.
Nate was the last to arrive save for Sara. "An Anachronism caused a disturbance in the Temporal Zone, which created a Timequake." Nate explained.
"I know." Leo rolled his head annoyed. "I've already been informed."
"Just trying to explain time traveler for the non time traveler. Yeesh." Nate frowned.
"He's on the ship so I would say that already makes him a time traveler, and he jumped earths so..." Clarity shrugged.
