"Attention crew members of the SS Tardis code name Waverider." Clarity's voice chimed over the intercoms. "Coming at you live from the bridge here with my assistant Nate Heywood!"
"What's up, shipmates? That voice you just heard was none other than the lovely, the lustrous, the brilliant, Clarity Springs. I got exciting news to share as does she. Team meeting in ten minutes. And, Mick, I have beer."
"To help you wake up here's some inspirational music to get you in the meeting mood." Clarity's voice chimed, their voices cut off and were replaced by toxic by Britney Spears.
"Are they high?" Zari wondered eyes wide picking up her pancakes to take with her to the meeting. Looking to Sara, Amaya and Stein who were in the kitchen with her eating breakfast.
"I hope not." Amaya sighed. "I already told Gideon never to make Lyoga root for Nate again, but if Clarity's overridden that command...."
"I don't believe Miss Springs is the type to partake in narcotics use of any kind." Stein protested. "Perhaps there's another reason."
"Let's go find out." Sara sighed leading the way to the bridge abandoning the oatmeal that Clarity'd surely make a grossed out face at. The legends all filing into the parlour. Mick the last to arrive.
"One lousy beer for breakfast." Mick complained as he grabbed the bottle.
"Mick, I'd never do you dirty like that." Clarity denied, holding up a basket of muffins with a chocolate drizzle though the basket shook in her grip. "A little midnight sna-ah, did you say breakfast?"
"It's breakfast?" Nate repeated eyes wide as he looked out at the other legends.
"Yeah." Ray confirmed looking between the ever twitching Clarity to Nate. "What time did you two go to bed last night, buddy?"
"We didn't." Nate replied. "Drank a lot of coffee. Can you tell? Whoa!" Nate opened and closed his hands in front of Ray's face.
"Mm, Giddy Gid, Gid what am I at?" Clarity asked as she drank something out of a mug. Sara realizing just a second too late that the glitch was downing more sugar mixed coffee.
"I believe that's your 34th cup of coffee. I'm afraid the added sugar is impossible to accurately quantify but it is most likely a remarkable amount."
"So you two didn't get high together?" Zari checked as she waved her fork in the air.
"Only high we've got going on is a sugar high." Clarity replied snapping her fingers sparks flying her hand shaking as she held it up.
"Which is the best kind," Nate added. "Followed closely by the victory high."
"Which we're also riding, but that's one's natural so it doesn't count. We figured out the puzzle, cause the two of us are smart cookies!"
"And we're delicious!" Nate added as he and Clarity high fived in front of the parlour monitor.
"Yes, Clarity your very yummy." Sara shifted her weight. "Nate, why are we staring at an anachronism map?"
"Because, Captain, I did a deep dive on the data. And the anachronisms we created at first glance seem scattershot... random. I was drowning in it all but then Clarity noticed each anachronism looked like a flower."
"Dandelions to be exact." Clarity clapped her hands together. "Popping up in the tears in time like the cracked cement we always compare it to be."
"And that gave me an idea. But since history is cause and effect, I decided to do a little experiment. I folded a linear timeline onto itself following the mathematics of the golden ratio."
