Mick glared at Gary and Gary gulped.
"Uh... the Bureau got a ping on some unregulated time travel. But when I got here, the person I was supposed to arrest..."
"Was a meta-human who had no problem murdering people?" Sara guessed as she leaned on a crate.
"Her powers let her control water." Gary told the group.
"Oh shit.." Clarity breathed running her fingers through her hair, lightning crackling making it frizz. That wasn't good. Maybe Gary was right about her not helping.
"A human squirt gun." Mick protested. "Big deal."
"Yes Mick. It is a big deal." Clarity held her hand up lightning crackling. "Hello."
"Well least it won't be my fault if you get wet this time." Jax chuckled.
"Jax, this isn't funny." Clarity protested tugging at her hair. "Why'd it have to be water powers?"
"I'm sure your powers will hurt her just as much as hers could hurt you, Clarity." Sara crossed her arms. "You've got this and you won't be taking her on alone either."
"No, you guys really have no idea how dangerous this woman is." Gary protested.
"This is a security transport. There are camera's inside." Sara leaned in. "Clarity can you get the footage?"
"Yeah, easy. It'll be a snap. I can even do it from the ship." Clarity replied.
"Good, then Glitch us back and pull the feed up. We better see what we're dealing with for ourselves." Sara ordered. "Gary you're welcome to stay on the ship. No ropes this time, you have my word. Any friend of Clarity's is a friend of ours."
Clarity glitched them back and pulled up the armored truck video. Gideon playing it in the parlour. The footage showing kuasa killing the drivers.
"Dweeb's right. That chick's dangerous. She just blew through those pigs like it was nothing." Mick grinned eyes wide. It was clear he liked her.
"Actually, I fought someone with water powers like this a few years ago. It was not very pleasant."
"Not with your suit." Clarity agreed leaning on the table. "Why couldn't it be ice? Or snow? Sure those make me whicked sleepy and and a bit slow and if it gets too cold below zero I go into a sleepy time hibernation but water is all stingy and mmm." Clarity put her head on the table. "Gary you get assigned the worst missions. You've really got to try to be more assertive when these things get assigned and I know that's hard, believe me I do, but this one should've been a two man job at least. Ava shouldn't have sent you to handle a metahuman alone."
"She didn't know it was a meta." Gary defended Agent Sharpe.
"Then she should have looked more deeply into it. I bet she didn't do any recon at all. She just sent you off. You could have died."
"In her defense she was kind of buried in paperwork at the time." Gary cleared his throat. "Your paperwork the one that she has to do cause suddenly the bureau is down a division."
"Down a division, I was a division of one person. That's no excuse for not doing her research before she endangered your life." Clarity protested. "The assassin could have taken you out right with those Argus guys if she sensed you or saw you."
"But the scary water lady didn't so it's fine." Gary insisted.
"It's not fine." Clarity muttered having half a mind to march down to the bureau and give Ava a piece of her mind. But that would alert the bureau to their involvement in this and she wasn't about to tip them off.
