Ch 4: Fuck this Future

"You know what I don't get? A.R.G.U.S. In 2016, they weren't." Ray began.

"Idiots." Mick chimed walking into the room.

"Well, I was gonna say they weren't trying to control the city with killer drones, but..." Ray trailed with a shrug and a bob of his head.

"Any authoritarian organization always goes bad," Sara insisted crossing her arms. "Always."

"Which means it's only a matter of time before Rip and his Time Bureau turn into the Time Gestapo." Jax stepped forwards approaching Gary. "Hell of a good thing Clarity got out when she did."

"In case you've forgotten, the Time Bureau only exists to clean up your time mess." Gary insisted defending the organization from the legends. "Which now includes an at-large time assassin and a fugitive hacker!"

"Is that your way of thanking us for rescuing you? I always though good guys were supposed to have good manners. Which Clatity insisted you really are." Sara demanded walking towards the console arms crossed until she stretched them out to lean against it. Gary unable to to reply.

"And it's actually two fugitive hackers." Ray corrected. "Clarity's running from them too."

"Gideon, do we have a location on Zari yet?" Sara asked.

"Negative, Captain." Gideon answered. "I'm afraid Ms. Tomaz has stepped up her efforts to remain undetected."

"Damn, I can see why. Look at this rap sheet. Burglary, larceny, grand larceny, identity theft, trespassing, digital trespassing, meta-human smuggling, conspiracy--" Jax read off the list.

"Impressive." Mick nodded his head.

"Multiple religious infractions."Jax read sounding confused as he read it.

"What do you mean?" Amaya asked wondering if they were helping a terrorist.

"Zari's Muslim. And apparently religion is illegal in 2042."

"Okay...then, Gideon scan for positrons. We need to find Clarity. She probably got a good feel for Zari's energy signature. We find our Glitch we can find Zari. Hopefully before our watery assassin gets a lock on her."

Gideon's search came up with thousands of possibilities so she decided to follow the strongest one. Gideon landed the ship camouflaging it, the legends all wandered into some cave.

"Clarity is down here? Your sure?" Ray asked walking forwards.

"Yes according to Gideon's coordinates." Sara replied as she held up her flashlight. She hoped Clarity wasn't hurt. Why would she hide down here of all places?

"We go any deeper we're gonna hit the center of the earth." Nate complained voice echoing.

"Quit complaining pretty. Drones probably can't get a signal this far down." Mick

"Wow, you know that's actually pretty smart." Ray agreed. "Surprised you thought of that."

Mick grunted not even bothering to reply to that comment. But if he had he wouldn't have had time to reply because all of a sudden the legends were attacked and bound by all kinds of meta's.

"Great now what?" Nate complained.

Clarity laughed, stepping into the light. Except this Clarity was older, dressed in all black and silver. Save for her necklace the heart pendant was still there, but beside it there were three rings fused together, one silver, one gold, and one copper. She smiled, walking to the now tied up blonde eyes glowing brightly in the darkened cavern.

"Hello Sara. What brings my favorite little killer bird to the future hm?"

And that's the end of chapter 4!!! I hoped you enjoyed it!I had so much fun hinting at future Clarity and surprise your actually going to see her and get a glimpse of her future next chapter! Even though this version of her gets erased by the end of book 4 like thanks hey world but still it's fun to see and fun to write and Ugh, it was such a tease but like it felt really good at the same time you know? Cause I've been thinking about this for years and I'm super happy to finally be doing season 3 and show you all the ideas like this that I've had for the longest time. Okay enough of me rambling. Here are the questions!!!

1. What did you think of the teams reactions to claritys return? Was it what you expected? Was it disappointing? Or did you enjoy it? Would you rather I have done something different? I want to know what you think!

2. Though yes I know so far it was brief, what did you think of Clarity and Zari's interactions so far? Did you enjoy them? Are they getting along hoe you thought they would? What did you think of the plot twist of Zari actually knowing future Clarity?

3. So what did you think of all the info I added about future Sara? Thoughts on her crime? On the message from her dad? Also wtaf happened to her mother? She's like never mentioned, and she's played by the same actress who plays River song, so like you know clarity would fangirl about that and freaking die at having her for a mother in law but like Sara's mom moves to central city rarely shows up at a funeral or two and isn't mentioned ever again. So...I'm wondering if any of you know what happened with that. I know it's minor but like Quentin isn't Sara's only living parent and I feel like that's forgotten a lot.

4. Are you excited to learn more about the life of Clarity Springs of 2042? What do you think she's been doing for all these years? Theories? Do tell!

5. Claritys gonna train Nate! Finally! Thoughts on this? Poor boys been waiting since he got his powers.

6. What did you think of Gary and Clarity and Micks interaction?

7. What's your favorite Clarity friendship? And why is it your favorite?

8. What episode of season 3 can you absolutely not wait to see Clarity in?

9. Should Clarity go to Iris's bachelorette party or Barry's bachelor party? Or both? Or neither? I can't decide but like I know where to put it if i'm doing it. Then again do I really want her in the episode with creepy eye guy? See I can't decide!

10. Who would be a better dimensional being for the legends to encounter the music meister, mxztpytlk, or some other being of my own creation?

11. Just for future reference would you rather have really long chapters that cover the entire episodes? Or do you prefer them broken up like I've been doing?

12. Did you have a good Easter? What did you do? What did you get? I did an Easter egg hunt with my brother and I won! Yay me!
