Ch 1: Once a Legend

"Gideon, talk to me." Clarity spoke into her watch walking back up the wall out of the Amazon's reach leaving a trail of footprints on the white surface. "What am I dealing with here? Why didn't the cuffs work?" She twisted her wrist and a blue beam slid over the Amazon making her squint. She punched at it as if that would stop it. Lifting her arms in front of her to shield her eyes.

"The simple answer is because she is not a metahuman. My scans indicate she is an Amazon of themascyra."

"Thema what!?" Clarity exclaimed leaping off the wall to jump in front of Rip. Saving him from being punched by the angry Amazon. Catching her fist in her hand the building shook from the force of it and a few windows cracked. She sent a current of electricity through her body shocking the other woman. She screamed in pain and flung Clarity away from her. Clarity glitched before she hit the wall landing in a crouch on the ceiling. Once again using the pipes to magnetize herself. She dropped down to the ground with a drop kick that the Amazon blocked and batted away.

"Themascrya. An island home to an elite warrior class of women who have lived for thousands of years since the time of the gods." Gideon resumed her explanation. "Their island is home to women alone and men are forbidden."

"Oh." Clarity panted, sliding through the Amazon's legs glitching around her as the Amazon used a long cable as a lasso trying to tie her up. "That's nice."

Clarity ran her lightning through the cable. It came alive wrapping around the Amazon. But she snapped the cables breaking out of it. The Amazon grabbed a metal pole using it like a sword. Clarity reached into her pocket. Pulling out Silvia, she switched them to their double sided setting. And ran her lighting through them. Suddenly Clarity had a double sided sword made of lightning and the shape was holding. It actually looked like a sword. She was finally at a point where she could create and maintain her lightning constructs.

Clarity sliced the Amazon's pole in half.

"Gid, time doorway 3:00 o clock!" Gideon opened the doorway as instructed.

Clarity spun her double sided sword around in a circle. The Amazon has no where to go without being sliced into. "Rip! Could use a flash here."

Rip flashed the Amazon wiping her memory and as she was dazed Clarity kicked her through the doorway. Using her sword like a bar the sides smoothing out as Clarity clutched at the lightning. She grabbed the doorways edges and snapped it closed right in the screaming Amazon's face. Catching Silvia in her hand the lightning faded and she slipped them back in her pocket as they closed.

"Well that was fun." Clarity rested her hands on her hips. "Is everyone okay?"

"The people for the most part yes. The lobby..." Rip looked around. "Not so much. Did you have to create so much damage? This isn't the tardis! Things don't just self renovate."

"Oh we can agree on that! This-this is not the tardis. This this is UNIT!" Clarity declared firmly pointing at the ground. "A secret unified intelligence task force dedicated to protecting the human race from aliens or well time. Speaking of," Clarity looked to Sara. "You can put that down, Sara. Took care of the Amazon. Dangers passed. Promise."

"All right." Sara sighed passing Ava back her gun. She looked anywhere but at Clarity. In truth she'd frozen not that the glitch had noticed. The assassin hoped no one else had either. "This is just awkward."

"So what brings the rest of you to the Time Bureau?" Rip wondered straightening his tie looking to the three.

"We found an Anachronism." Ray stated proudly.

"You did?" Clarity asked in confusion. "That's insane."
