Clarity waved her in rambling on in that adorable way she always did when she was nervous and there it was on her wrist. Her time courier. The one that had Gideon safely tucked inside. Sara just had to get Clarity to take it off. Which most likely meant the glitches clothes had to go too. Sara debated trying to get Clarity to forgo the dinner, skip right to dessert, but those thoughts vanished as she saw the table set up on her balcony. All nicely set with a sparkling white table cloth and a set of candles. There even actually was a bottle of red wine chilling in a bucket of ice off to the side. Strings of light hung over the table. Clarity'd put effort into this...

The smile on her face fell as her eyes flicked to Claritys back. What was she doing? No, no she had to get the waverider. They had to prove themselves. It wasn't fair that Rip gave Clarity a chance and no one else. Clarity she'd understand. At least Sara hoped she would.

"Everything okay?" Clarity asked shaking Sara from her thoughts. The glitch standing at the balcony doorway head tilted in concern.

"Yeah sorry," Sara denied, "It's just that you really went all out. The table and then that dress you're wearing....you look...there aren't any words."

"Oh," Clarity turned back to the table. "I-I guess I did. I just wanted things to be... Is it too much? It's too much isn't it. You know know what? It's fine, I can fix it. Not a problem, just gotta-!" Clarity jumped for a string of lights intent on tearing them down but she shrieked as her heel slipped on a puddle and she went over the rail. The lights pulling down along with her over the edge.

"Clarity!" Sara rushed to the rail peering over. Expecting to see Clarity hanging onto the dangling string for dear life or even worse splat on the pavement below, but she wasn't even there.

"Sara, superpowers." Clarity reminded from behind her the glitches arms circling around her waist. Clarity having glitched herself safely back to the balcony.

"Ugh, don't do that!" Sara shoved her shoulders lightly spinning around. "You scared me."

"I know, I didn't mean to. I really did slip, but hey now all your jitters were scared right out of you. Problem solved." Clarity grabbed Sara's hand and guided her to the left side of the table. She pulled out a chair. "Care to sit?"

"I don't know am I gonna go flying over too." Sara nodded to the balcony.

"If you do I promise I'll glitch you." Clarity replied, Sara sat down in her chair letting Clarity push it in. Which felt a bit odd to Sara as she always imagined that going the other way around. But that said the assassin didn't mind the treatment, though it only made her feel that much more guilty.

"So, it's been six months," Clarity started cutting into her food. "I'm sure we have lots to catch up on. Which is good considering we've probably exhausted all normal first date chit chat."

"Uh yeah I guess," Sara nodded scooping up a bite of her mashed potatoes which tasted like heaven. She forgot how much she missed Claritys cooking. She used to rig the chore wheel on Thursday's just so Clarity would cook twice a week. Of course that landed her on double dish duty but for Claritys potatoes it was worth it. "So you're working at the time bureau now?"

"Mm, yeah since like a week after Rip dumped us." Clarity waved a hand shaking her head. "But boring you already know that. Cmon, I want to hear about you! What has the great Sara Lance been up to hm? Let me guess bar tender? You were amazing at that. Or-oh! Oh! Oh!" Clarity waved her fork around in the air as she squinted. "I've got it. You joined a circus and now you're the knife thrower?"

Sara couldn't help the laugh that escaped her as she sipped her wine. "Wish I thought of those. Truth is, I'm Uh...I've been working at sink shower and stuff."
