Chapter Nine: You Promised!

❀ Jimin's pov ❀

Everyone was having fun. I laughed as they all were yelled because of a card game. Some of them in joy because they're winning and some looking a bit frustrated because they're losing.

We were in Jungkook's room. I sat on Jungkook's bed as I watched them. Noticing Yeontan trying to get on the bed, I picked him up and placed him next to me.

Yeontan walked to me and barked. I smiled as I pet him. Yeontan sat on my lap as he got all comfortable. Yeontan was so fluffy and soft.

"Hey Jungkook. What's you third wish gonna be?" Namjoon asks.

"Oh...My third wish?" He asked. My eyes brightened. I carefully placed Yeontan on the bed. Walking to them.

"Jungkook said he'd use his third wish to set me free!" I smiled brightly. "Is that true Jungkook?" Jin looks at Jungkook with an amazed look. "Ah....Well.." Jungkook looks at us hesitantly.

"What is it Jungkook?" I asked worriedly.

"I...." Jungkook looks at me sadly. "I'm sorry, Jimin. I can't. Being a King all of a sudden. It scares me. I might need my third wish" Jungkook says sadly.

I froze. "B-But you promised" I knelt down next to Jungkook. "I can't I'm sorry.." He says as he gets up. Jungkook helps me up. We go a bit away from the others, we were near Jungkook's bed with Yeontan on it.

"You promised me you'd wish for my freedom" I said. "You've been in that lamp for a while. I'm sure you can last more days-" I slapped him.

"I don't mind staying in a lamp. You promised that you'd give me freedom. For years, I have obeyed different masters. You don't even know who or how many I have served. I was happy when you said you'd free me" I said.

"I waited for that third wish thinking you were different from any of them. As a genie, I serve my masters. Obeying them no matter what the hell I had to do" I said, frowning. Tears formed in my eyes as memories, of what I've done before, gets in my head.

"You've killed someone!?" Taehyung asks. "Not now! Taehyung shut up!" Jin scolds him. Jungkook looks at me with a worried expression. "No..." He says. Tears fell from my face. I looked away.

Jungkook holds my hands. "Let go of me" I said. "Please tell me they didn't..." Jungkook cups my face.

"So what if they did! I had to do it!" I said. I grabbed the lamp and pushed Jungkook of me.

"Wait, Jimin!" Jungkook tried to call me but I left the room.

I don't know where I am going.

Feeling tired I placed the lamp somewhere on a table. I got in my lamp.

But without knowing, someone actually saw me go inside the lamp.
