WHEN SHE was called out of class she knew something was wrong as she drove home, her truck going way past the speed limit as she raced against the clock. The tires squealed as she slammed on the brakes, pulling up to her home. She barely had time to turn the car off as she ran into her home,

"Fawkes!" She screamed as she tripped over her own, feet slamming open the basements door as she nearly fell down the stairs, pushing open the metal gates of the dungeon, "Fawkes!"

Her brother was kneeling over their convulsing aunt, black blood was spewing from her lips as her eyes rolled back into her head, "We have to do it now, Finch." He said as he held her had, "Or else..."

"I know, I know." The girl tugged off her coat, throwing it to the side as she pushed the sleeves of her sweater, her knees slamming onto the cement floor as she placed her hands on the older woman's shoulders, "Custodi animam meam deducere progressus humani in sinu daemonium. Custodi animam meam deducere progressus humani in sinu daemonium." She chanted as a wind blew, sending her hair flying out around her

The woman beneath her hands writhed and screamed out in agony as the human and her was brought forward and the demon was pushed back. Finch cried out as her aunt gripped her wrists, her palms searing into the witch's skin, she didn't move her hands, still chanting powerfully as the magic swirled in the air, "Custodi animam meam deducere progressus humani in sinu daemonium! Custodi animam meam deducere progressus humani in sinu daemonium! Custodi animam meam deducere progressus humani in sinu daemonium!" Her voice rose as the air screamed and roared around the three Fletcher's

The eyes of her aunt snapped open as she gasped for breath rolling onto her side as she threw up more black blood as she whimpered in pain. Finch released her shoulders, rubbing her burning wrists as she fell back onto her behind, staring over at her brother, whose hair was sticking to his forehead from the sweat rolling down it. Her brother stared back at her with sad eyes as he held him intertwined fingers in front of his mouth, his face a ghostly shade of white.

"Finch..." Clarissa whispered weakly, making the girl lean forward brushing her dirty blonde locks from her eyes

"I'm right here, Clare, don't worry. I'm right here." She hums quietly to the woman, "It's going to be okay." Fawkes closed his eyes, as tears pricked his eyes

"You have to do it." The woman muttered, her eyes fluttering open and closed, "It's you don't..."

Finch shook her head, "No, we can't we don't have all the ingredients if we do it improperly we all could die." She admitted, running a hand through her inky locks

"If you don't, my sweet girl, It will win."

"I can get the ingredients." Fawkes spoke up, "Finch if you stay here and begin to prepare it I can go out and get what we need."
