" DAMON , WHY are we in a cemetery?" Finch demanded as she stomped over the broken tree branches that littered the ground

She tripped yelling out as she landed in front of a dead rat, "Ew, ew, ew!" She yelped scrambling away from it as Damon helped haul her onto her feet, "Goe, I don't want to be here." She shivered brushing herself off

"Why?" Damon wondered

"My mother's here." She responded dryly, stepping closer to the older vampire as she tripped herself up again, catching herself on his arm, "I'm just gonna hold onto this, okay? And you aren't going to make it weird. Got it?"

Damon chuckles, patting her arm as he helped her through the woods, "Hold on tight." He said scooping her up into his arms,

"Hey!" She exclaims throwing her arms around his neck as she held herself closer to his chest, "You need to learn how to warn people, man!" She said, "God, this is uncomfortable." She says as she wiggles in his arms to fit correctly

Damon smirked, "Your heart says different, sweet cheeks." The man winked

Her face flushes, "Shut up and go!" She instructed embarrassed by him

The man chuckles as he vamp speeds away, the girl pressing her face into his chest to keep her head safe from branches,

"Wait!" Damon stops, "What's gonna happen? Are you gonna hurt someone?" She asks worriedly looking up at him with sad eyes

"I don't know, Finch. If it comes down to it then yes." He replies staring back down at her

"Are you gonna hurt me?" She asked quietly dropping her eyes

Damon licks his lips, "No. I don't think I'll hurt you purposely. You're the only one who seems to believe in me." She says honestly

"I just think you deserve to be happy. Everyone does." The girl says sincerely, "Don't we have somewhere to be at the moment?" She asks changing the topic

Damon clears his throat not responding as he picks up his vampiric speed again zooming through the forest

Damon stops, dropping her to her feet, as he stops he watches Stefan and Elena flip through the grimoire,

"Well, what do you know?" He snarls at them stepping from the shadows with Finch, "This is an interesting turn of events,"

Stefan clears his throat, "I can't let you bring her back. I'm sorry." He shakes his head

"So am I. For thinking for even a second that I could trust you." Damon growls as Finch stares at her friends in shock

Stefan scoffs angrily, "Oh. You're not capable of trust. The fact that you're here means that you read the journal and you were planning on doing this yourself."

"Of course I was going to do it by myself, because the only one I can count on is me! You made sure of that many years ago, Stefan. But you..." Damon looks back at Elena, "You had me fooled." Damon looks hurt and Elena looks ashamed, "So what are you going to do now? Because if you try and destroy that, I'll rip her heart out."

Stefan stands up straighter, "You won't kill her." Damon nods, knowing Stefan is right. Instead, he vamp-speeds over to Elena and grabs her in a chokehold,

"I can do one better." Damon bites his wrist and forces Elena to drink his blood. Elena struggles

Stefan panics rushing forward grabbing Finch hand racing back, he leans into her ear, "Please don't hate me."

"Stefan, Don't -- " The boy bites into his wrist shoving the blood into her mouth

Damon glared at her brother, "Give me the book and Finch, Stefan, or I'm snapping her neck. And youmwill have a vampire girlfriend."

Stefan pulled Ficnh closer o him ad she tried to fight him off, "Let her go first."

Damon pulls his wrist away from Elena's mouth, "The book and Finch!"

"I'm not going to give them to you until she is standing next to me."

Damon snarls, "Problem is, I no longer trust that you'll give it back!"

Stefan is in a clear stare of panic, "You just did the one thing that ensures that I will."

Damon, still keeping Elena in a chokehold, nods at Stefan, "Okay."

Stefan, eyes filled with terror, slowly fives the book to Finch beofre pulling her forward and reaches out for Elena. Damon places his face against Elena's hair, looking as if he might not let her go, but slowly he pulls his arm away from her.  Elena slowly edges to the side of the grave, then quickly jumps over it and into Stefan's arms. Finch rums towards Damon with tears of panic her eyes as he grips her arms,

"Hey, hey. Are you okay?" He asks brushing her hair from her face as she wipes the access blood form her mouth

"I'm fine. Are you okay?" She was us as she looks him over before surprising him by wrapping her arms around him in a tight hug,

Damon didn't have time to return the hug as she let go, "Let's go, Damon." She says as she hands him the grimoire, "I promise I'll help you figure this out, okay?"

"Why?"

"Because you're my friend." She replies as if it was obvious, "Let's go,"

DAMON DROPPED Finch off at her hosue, the girl promising she would be there to help him before heading towards her door, she turns around to face Damon who was staring back at her. She waved at him with a smile, one which he returned before starting up his cat and driving off. Finch watched him drive away until his headlights dissapeared into the distance before she started fishing around for her keys. Grumbling she kept searching through her bag.

"How could I lose that is a small bag?" She wondered aloud as she dropped her bag, the contents of the bag spilling our across the front porch, "Seriously?" Finch utters as she kneels down starting to push the the spilled contents back into her bag

As she moves the stuff through she finds her keys, "Well, I guess that was lucky." She says with a smile as she stands up moving to place the key in the lock

Something large and heavy connected with the back if her head, knocking the witch unconscious as she fell backwards into the perpetrators arms who dragged her away from her home.
