I sit with my legs neatly tucked beneath me on the long couch beside Caden.

"So you're telling me you don't like mac n cheese?" He asks incredulously.

Biting back my smile, I scrunch my nose. "I don't like cheese at all."

"Not even mozzarella?"

"Nope." I pop the 'p'. "Unless it's on pizza."

"You're definitely not human."

"I guess you're about to hate me a whole lot more because I also hate milk, eggs, butter, yogurt...the list goes on. And I'm lactose intolerant." I admit.

His gapes, setting his drink down. "What do you eat?"

"Ice cream, cake, popcorn, pizza. Fruits and vegetables." A smile graces my lips as I take a sip of my soda, hiding it behind my red solo cup.

He shakes his head. "As always, you've left me speechless, Charli."

Well at least I'm good at something.

I snort, "Oh come on, hit me with your ick list."

His brows raise. "'Ick list?'"

"Haisley." Freshman year is all I need to say.

"Makes sense," He laughs. "I don't like...kiwi or Nutella."

I gasp, "And you called me the inhumane one for not liking mushrooms? How do you not like Nutella?"

"Too sweet."

"I thought you had a sweet tooth." I tease.

He smirks, eyes meeting mine. "Never said I don't, Sugar."

I shake my head, looking away. I focus on drunk Delilah jumping onto Truett's shoulders, screaming like a banshee.

"She-"

"Told ya she's a wild drunk." Caden tsks, amused as he watches his friend.

"And in the morning?"

"As if at least fifteen buses have hit her."

I grimace. "Yikes."

"Eh, she handles it well for someone so tiny."

Never underestimate anyone under 5'5.

"Hey guys." Axel greets, plopping down beside Caden.

"What are we talking about?" Callum asks, sliding in beside me.

"Foods we hate and Delilah."

"Ah yes, they could be on the same list too." Axel quips, smirking.

I'm not exactly sure how to process that piece of information, but I'm not going to ask.

"Hm let's see," Callum taps his chin dramatically, shifting to face us. "Broccoli and tuna. A patch of Delilah isn't so bad every once in a while."

I stifle my laugh behind my hand as Axel and Caden snicker.

"How about you, Axel?" I lean forward to smile at the blond.

"Pineapples." He says in disgust.

Caden immediately shakes his head, looking to me. "Don't do it."

"Je suis un ananas." I laugh. Caden groans, rubbing his eyes.

Let's just say this isn't the first time I've re-enacted the talking pineapple in front of Caden. He made the mistake of mentioning pineapples weeks ago.

Axel and Callum share a look before staring at me as if I've grown a third head. I don't blame them.

"Care," Callum begins.
