Mermaids at hogwarts?

Your POV:

The Yule ball. The dance that every witch and wizard looked forward too. I can say that I have definitely been excited about the ball ever since me and draco got together during our third year. We both liked each other we just didn't know how to express our feelings for one another. But, finally he asked me out on a date and we've been together ever since. Even though we are madly in love with each other there's one thing he doesn't know about me, I'm a mermaid. Every year after schools over I go back to Atlantis, my home. It was bad enough for dracos family finding out he's dating someone who's in the gryffindor house, so, I didn't say anything to him.

I plan to keep it that way for awhile, unless something were to happen and he finds out. He shouldn't though, I have a shell charm necklace that I always wear to keep me safe from any water that might happen to get on me.

I was currently sitting on a chair during the Yule ball, Draco had just gone to get us drinks so I was waiting for him. I sat in the furthest seat from any water that could be around me. People were dancing and screaming over the music, others were sitting around amongst their friend groups, and other left early to do who knows what. My hand went up to play with my shell charm necklace by habit. I didn't realize I was playing with it till pansy walked up to me, a cup of water in her hand.

"I didn't know you were dating Draco! How dare you!" She spat, her hand clenched around the cup of water making me uneasy. I stood up, my hand dropping from my necklace as I took a step back. Draco and I's relationship wasn't a secret per say. We just didn't show that much affection in front of a lot of people so, no one thought we'd be together.

"Pansy we've been-"

"No! I don't want to hear it" she yelled over the loud music. Her arm moved and before I knew it she was throwing her glass of water at me. I couldn't move out of the way, but a bright golden light began to glow from my charm necklace. The water stopped in mid air and fell to the ground not touching me at all. Pansy stood there wide eyed, and when I looked up draco was a ways behind her two drinks, his eyes wide too.

Before I knew it I was running out of the great hall and into the court yard. I found an empty bench and sat down not being able to drop the tears that fell from my eyes. Thoughts ran through my head of draco leaving me as my body shook with sobs.

"Y/n.." a soft voice spoke. I looked up to see draco slowly walking towards me. As he sat down next to me he wrapped his arms around my back and brought me into his chest. His hands rubbed my back as he birdied his face in my hair.

"Why did you tell me you were a mermaid?" He asked, after I had calmed down some.

"I was scared." I sniffled. Draco smiles and wiped the remaining tears from my cheeks and pressed a soft but gentle kiss to my lips.

"Baby.. I think it's amazing" he whispered when we pulled away. I smiled brightly, Happy that he wasn't going to leave me. I leaned in and kissed him once more enjoying the feeling of his lips on mine. We pulled away and he pulled me into his chest again.

"Now I cant wait to go swimming with you" he smirked, causing me to roll my eyes and punch his arm playfully.
