It was Saturday night and tonight I was going to dinner with Niall. It was around 6 o'clock, so I decided to start getting ready. I curled my hair in long loose curls and did my makeup. I put on my dark purple dress that went about a few inches above my knees, my black strapped heels, and a long gold heart necklace. I looked at myself in my full body mirror, made some adjustments, and was finally ready. I didn't know why I was putting so much effort into my appearance for tonight. I didn't even know why I agreed to go to dinner with Niall anyways.

I still had about ten minutes before Niall would be coming so I put my phone and wallet into my black clutch. I was applying some lip gloss when there was a knock on my door. I capped the lip gloss and walked over to the door. I opened it to reveal a very handsome looking Niall. I mean he always looked good, but tonight you could tell he put extra effort into his appearance. He was wearing dark black jeans, a white button up dress shirt and a black jacket unzipped. His blonde hair was quiffed to perfection, and his eyes had a sort of sparkle in them that I had never seen before.

"Wow, you look amazing Ella." He said as his eyes scanned my appearance.

"You don't look to bad yourself." I said with a a small smile. "So where are we going?"

"A restaurant for dinner."

"Well obviously, but what restaurant?"

"You'll see." He said walking away, leaving me standing in the doorway. I followed after him down the hall and he led me to his car parked outside. He opened the passenger door for me like a gentlemen and I got inside. He got into the drivers seat and started the car. The ride was silent, leaving me to my thoughts as I watched the city quickly pass by my widow.

What did I expect from tonight? I don't even know why I agreed to this. He said he wanted to get to know me better, but what does that even mean to him? Am I his next puppet? I don't want to be. I can't decide who he's trying to be. He seems like a genuine gentlemen that wants to know me on a different level, but at the same time he just seems like a complete ass. I want to look at him as a guy who wants to have a good time tonight and be a gentlemen, but the only Niall Horan I've known is the one who has no respect for anyone but himself and treats girls like shit.

Just then the car stopped, breaking me from my thoughts. We were parked in the parking lot of a restaurant I had never been to. It looked Italian.

"Here we are." Niall said turning off the car. He came around to the passenger side and opened the door for me. He held his hand out to assist me out of the car. I gratefully took it and stepped out. He closed the door and continued holding my hand. I lightly pulled my hand away. We walked into the restaurant and Niall told the hostess that he made a reservation. The hostess was a beautiful young girl, around our age. Usually Niall would be hitting her up even when he already had a date with him, but surprisingly he didn't. He barely even looked at her.

The hostess led us to our table which was in a secluded corner in the back of the restaurant. There weren't many tables around that were close. Niall pulled my chair out for me and I sat down. Then he went and sat down.

"This is a nice restaurant." I said in my attempt to start a conversation.

"You really look amazing Ella." Niall said, clearly not even hearing what I just said. I felt my face heat up a bit.

"Oh thank you." I smiled slightly. The waiter came over and took our drink orders, and when he left Niall and I were alone again. I figured now would be a good time to ask him what this was all about.

"So, why are we doing this?"

"What do you mean?" He looked confused.

"Well we barely talked before this and you know I hate your guts yet you ask me out to dinner? We don't know anything about each other except that you are a player who treats girls like shit and I hate you for it." I explained.
