chapter twenty three — the end

"and that is me and your dad's story"
dahye finished, looking at her four year old daughter, lee nara, next to her.

dahye and jeno got married about a few months after the proposal and now they've become a family with a daughter— and a son, who was still in dahye's tummy.

"when i grow up, i will find a boy who treats me like how dad treats mommy!"
nara exclaims.
"i wonder if junyoung will treat me like that"
she asked and dahye's eyes instantly widened.
"junyoung? who is he?"
"he's my crush"
nara shyly replied.
"you're four, nara"
dahye laughed and pinched nara's cheeks.

"i'm home!"
jeno shouted from the first floor.
"dad!"
nara exclaimed and ran down the stairs to meet jeno, dahye following behind.
"hi baby"
jeno kissed dahye's forehead then her tummy before carrying nara.
"so, what did you two do while i was at work?"
he asked.
"i asked mommy about you two's love story"
nara replied.
"and nara has a crush"
dahye said while ruffling her hair.
"i didn't even know what a crush was when i was four"
jeno shook his head and smiled.

jeno brought nara to her room and stayed with her until she falls asleep. dahye stood by the door, smiling to herself while watching the adorable scene in front of her. jeno then placed a kiss on nara's forehead after she fell asleep and walked out, closing the door.
"how was work?"
dahye asked after they arrived at their bedroom.
"it was fine but i missed you"
he whined and kissed her.
"we already have a baby and we're gonna have another baby but you're still a baby"
she giggled.

"i can't wait to see him"
jeno bent down and kissed her tummy, she was five months pregnant with their son.
"i can't wait either"
"go shower, you smell bad"
dahye scrunched her nose and told jeno.
"no, i wanna cuddle"
he whined with a baby voice.
"jeno, shower or i'll-"
"okay baby"
he quickly said and ran to the bathroom. dahye just laughed at the sight and layed down. she smiled to herself, how did she get so lucky? i guess fate will never change.
