I'm walking around the streets of Sydney, feeling the cold air blow against my face and hair while listening to music. It was currently 11°C outside and I'm enjoying it.

I was listening to Shostakovich's Waltz No. 2 while I was wandering around. I don't know. There's just something about this piece that just pulls me in I guess.

I decided that since I was new here, I should get to know the streets and establishments so that I wouldn't get lost in the time I'll be staying here.

I was wearing denim shorts that were about six inches higher than my knees, yes I have long legs, a black spaghetti strap crop top, and an oversized black mesh shirt over it. To finish off the look, I was wearing my favorite, Nike Airforce 1 white shoes (may be overused but I swear I love them), and a sapphire butterfly necklace that one of my brothers gave me last night as good luck.

Hanging on my left shoulder was a white push lock cross bag that contained my phone, wallet, cardholder and my house keys.

Anyway, so while I was walking around, I noticed that there were a lot of bubble tea shops and I'm definitely not complaining. Because who doesn't like bubble tea?

I also happened to pass by a lot of stores that I usually go to back in my place, so that should make me feel at least a bit more comfortable.

I walked a couple of meters and started to enter an open mall area that seemed to be quite busy at the moment. People were eating and laughing in the restaurants, shopping in clothing stores, some were sitting on the benches, and some were just wandering around like I was.

I take a left somewhere and was faced by a large crowd that was surrrounding two musicians. Violinists to be exact.

I removed my headphones to listen to what they were playing. It was Bach's violin duet in D minor. Me and my brothers' favorite piece to play. There was a pianist there too, playing an accompaniment for the two.

I walk closer and tried to get to the front where I was able to see them clearly. The pianist was a lady and had hazelnut hair, and the two violinists were men, had black hair and looked quite Asian. The one on the left was taller than the one on the right.

As soon as the piece ended, the crowd roared with applause and the musicians all took a bow.

I saw their poster. Apparently, they were holding a mini concert for fundraising. The taller man was named Eddy, and the other man was Brett. The pianist was someone from the audience so I didn't catch her name.

"Thank you so much!" Brett said.

"Is there anyone from the audience who would like to play a piece?" Eddy asked the crowd.

I slowly raised my hand and took a step forward.

The duo's eyes laid on me as I walked closer to them.

"Looks like we have someone, everybody!" Brett directed to the crowd and they gave me a short applause.

"Hello there, what's your name?" Eddy asked me as he lent me his violin.

"I'm Y/N, nice to meet you." I replied with a subtle smile.

"Hello Y/N nice to meet you," Brett greeted me as well. "What would you play?"

"I was thinking about Liebesleid (Love's Sorrow) by Kreisler. May I ask someone to accompany me with the keyboard?" I replied.

"Oh! I could accompany you. I know the accompanist's part." Eddy said and went to the keyboard. I followed behind.

"Hey guys! So we have Y/N here, and she will be playing Kreisler's Liebesleid accompanied by Eddy! Let's give them a hand!" Brett said and the audience clapped for us.

As the audience silenced, I checked if the violin was tuned and gave Eddy a little nod as a signal that I was gonna start.

As we began to play, I spaced out into my own little world where it was only me and the violin. Every note was clear, my bowing overflowing with emotion. This piece was the very first piece that I actually understood from the bottom of my heart. And I want the audience to understand it too.

I felt so in the moment little did I know that the audience went completely quiet now, all eyes were on me, including Brett and Eddy, they were all on the edge of their seats listening to me and Eddy's music overwhelmed by the strong emotion that was conveying.

I felt like I was at the peak of my performance. My fingers were relaxed, my bowing was perfect, and my intonation wasn't bad either.

After a while, I hit the last note and swung the bow upwards signalling I was done. Eddy also finished and had his hands just above the keys he last played.

The audience exploded in claps and casual whistles and whohoos along with Brett who had been watching us too.

Eddy walked up beside me, took my hand, held it up, and we took a bow together. And came a second wave of applause.

"That was the best I've ever played my entire life." I said after bowing, just enough for the man beside me to hear. Eddy smiled.

"And that concludes our concert everybody! Thank you for coming! See you soon!" Brett told the audience and walked up to us. "That was amazing! Where'd you learn to play like that?" Brett said as I gave Eddy back his violin and walked off to pack up their stuff.

"Well, you're the greatest teacher to yourself, you know?" I replied with a giggle. Brett gave a short chuckle as well.

"Brett! Come over here and get your stuff!" Eddy yelled at his partner. "Coming!" Brett replied. "Stay right here," he instructed me. I nodded.

I was watching them while they got their things and seemed to be talking about something.

The two violinists came back with their stuff with them, and Eddy faced me with his cheeks somewhat pinkish. Brett on the other hand, nudged him with his elbow with his face still as deadpanned as ever.

"Hey, um, Y/N. Are you busy after this?" he asked me.

"Well, no. I'm completely free!" I replied, as anticipation surged through me. I think I wanted to stay with him longer. While we were performing, the connection we had was strangely welcoming and warm, yet so powerful. I feel attracted to him I guess?

Eddy's eyes lit up at my response (cue Brett smirking). "That's great! Wanna come get bubble tea with us?" he asked enthusiastically.

"Sure thing! I'll get tons of bubble teaaaaa..." I said to him, throwing my arms up. The two boys let out an amused chuckle at my childish behavior.

"Well sorry to break this to you guys, but I have to pick my mom up from the airport right now so it'll just be the both of you. Sorry not sorry gotta go!" Brett escaped leaving me and Eddy behind.

"Brett you were planning this..." Eddy thought.

I was still too happy about the bubble tea to care at this point sooo.

"Um, Eddy? Wanna get bubble tea now?" I asked, still hung up on the thought of it.

"Huh- oh, yea! Let's go." Eddy said.

And we both walked off to find the bubble tea store.
